Ajam is an Arabic word meaning mute. It generally refers to someone whose mother tongue is not Arabic, as well as non-Arabs. During the Arab conquest of Persia, the term became a racial pejorative. Al Mokawloon Al Arab Sporting Club, shortly known as El Mokawloon(The contractors) locally, is an Egyptian sports club based in Nasr City, Cairo, and owned by the prominent constructional engineer Osman Ahmed Osman. The town is located just outside the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force Zone.
