It is involved in the European literary scene and has also published celebrity autobiographies, such as Griff Rhys Jones' Insufficiently Welsh, and Boyd Clack's Kisses Sweeter Than Wine. In 2019, Parthian was recognised as the Small Press of the Year for Wales at the "Nibbies", the British Book Awards. Parthian's motto is "A Carnival of Voices in Independent Publishing".
The Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets are annual awards for pamphlets published in the UK. The awards aim to promote the pamphlet form and to enable poets and publishers to develop and continue creating. Since their inception, they have grown to include three annual awards, for "Poetry Pamphlet", "Publisher" and "Illustration", carrying prizes of up to £5,000, and awarding places on "The Michael Marks Poets in Residence Program" in Greece. Additional awards have included the "Poetry Pamphlet in a Celtic Language" and, as of 2022, the Environmental Poet of the Year prize.
Richard Owain Roberts is a Welsh author. He is the author of the novel Hello Friend We Missed You, which has been hailed as "a turning point for Welsh fiction", and the short story collection All The Places We Lived.

The International Welsh Poetry Competition is an annual English language poetry award and the largest of its kind in Wales. The contest was founded in 2007 by Welsh writer, poet and photographer Dave Lewis.
Mari Ellis Dunning is a Welsh writer based in Aberystwyth. Her debut poetry collection Salacia was shortlisted for the Wales Book of the Year in 2019. She has also published a children's book.
Mary Jean Chan is a Hong Kong-Chinese poet, lecturer, editor and critic whose debut poetry collection, Flèche, won the 2019 Costa Book Award in the poetry category. Chan’s second book, Bright Fear, was published by Faber in 2023. Chan is a judge for the 2023 Booker Prize.
Rebecca F. John is a Welsh novelist. She won the PEN International New Voices Award in 2015, and has been shortlisted for the Costa Book Awards and the Wales Book of the Year.
David Hughes is a Welsh writer. He is the originator of the phrase "ambition is critical", which was made famous by its appearance in the 1997 film Twin Town and has regularly been misattributed to fellow Swansea poet Dylan Thomas.
