Rafah Museum

The Rafah Museum was established in December 2022 in the south of the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip. It was founded by Dr. Laila Shaheen, an academic who holds a doctorate in educational studies from the Arab Research Institute of the League of Arab States in Cairo and a doctorate in arts education technology from Helwan University in Egypt, at her own expense and expense. To simulate the permanence of survival in the face of the storms of displacement, normalization and Judaization. Openings, exhibitions, and heritage celebrations are held at the museum to commemorate Palestinian occasions, such as Earth Day and International Women’s Day. [1] [2]

The museum contains 200 heritage items, 24 mannequins, old documents from court records and other historical papers of the people and their property, collections of clothes and dresses with different beautiful designs, heritage tools, decorations and embroideries related to Palestinian heritage and everything related to old agricultural tools such as "shadouf, sickle, plow, sieve and gafa", and a brass corner. The museum also contains rare gemstones, old Palestinian passports before the Israeli occupation, old Palestinian postage stamps, original and illustrated documents about ancient Palestine, Palestinian women's headdresses of various shapes, different types of baskets, and a mummified sieve that may be more than 150 years old. [4]

"No tree, no stone, no human being, no animal, no heritage is safe here, the treasures of my life and my toil, the dresses, precious stones, old coins, documents, the treasures of my life are gone. This is our condition, this is the condition of the Palestinian people, God help us," Shahin said after the Israeli Air Force bombed the museum in response to Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. [5]

The Kurdistan Music Archive is a one-room exhibition-like archive that occupies one of the renovated traditional buildings at the Citadel of Erbil. The current director is Amjad Assad. Assad, almost working alone with no external help, has been digitizing, for several years, thousands of cassette tapes and 78 rpm phonographs of Kurdish music and songs spanning about 100 years. Omar Fares Abu Shawish was a Palestinian poet and novelist. He was a well-known social activist at Nuseirat Camp. He was killed in Nuseirat Camp by an Israeli airstrike in the 2023 Israel–Hamas war.

The Al Qarara Cultural Museum was a museum in al-Qarara, near Khan Yunis, in the Gaza Strip. Founded in 2016, the museum featured the archaeology and history of the area, collected by its founders and by local community members. It was destroyed by Israeli forces in October 2023.

Amir Imad Amin Abu Khadijeh was a Palestinian militant and former leader of the Tulkarm Brigade. He was from the city of Tulkarm. According to Israeli sources, Khadijeh, who was involved in multiple shooting incidents towards civilians in the area and security forces operating at the Tanim checkpoint, was located and targeted by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Border Police Anti-Terrorism units, following intelligence gathered by the Shin Bet. The operation took place in a village near Tulkarm. As the forces surrounded the house where Abu Khadijeh was hiding, he attempted to shoot at undercover Border Police officers from a window but was shot and wounded. The forces entered the apartment, and Abu Khadijeh, attempting to shoot again, was killed.
