On July 21, 2021, three boats sank on the first day of Eid-ul-Adha in the Raghagan Dam in Bajaur, killing four people and leaving 20 missings.

The first sinking boat of tourists who went to the dam to have a picnic on the occasion of Eid had 18 people on board. [1] The second boat went to rescue it and it also sank. Then the third boat went to rescue the people in both boats and it also sank. [2] [3] Rescue boats carrying seven people have also drowned. The bodies of four people aboard the boat have been recovered while four people were rescued alive, including three children, who were rushed to hospital in critical condition. [4] According to rescue officials, 20 people are missing and a rescue operation is underway to find them. [5] [6]

People in Raghgan Bazaar also protested against the incident which took place due to poor arrangements in Raghgan Dam. [7]

On 21 March 2021, a mass grave containing the mutilated corpses of four teenage boys was found by a shepherd's dog in the Janikhel area of Bannu District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. As the locals, including the victims’ relatives, dug up the bodies, one was found to have been beheaded, one had been shot, and the other two had been stoned to death. The victims were identified; they were between 13 and 17 years and were fond of hunting birds and wild hares in the area. The boys had gone hunting three weeks before and had since disappeared.

On 30 November 2021, a severely overloaded boat carrying more than 50 people, mostly children aged between 8 and 15, capsized on the Watari Dam in Kano State, Nigeria. At least 29 are confirmed dead and 13 more are missing.

"Mujh Se Pehli Si Mohabbat Mere Mehboob Na Maang" is an Urdu nazm by Faiz Ahmad Faiz. The song is popular through its rendition by singer Noor Jehan and has been notably performed by many others. According to Faiz, the nazm also marks his transition from romantic work of his earlier years to mature works of his later years.

On 18 July 2022, 10:00 AM a Baraati boat sank in Indus River near Machchka in Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan District, Punjab, Pakistan. The number of people killed in the incident is 50, including women and children, and 24 other people are missing. Around 75 people were on board the boat while the operation is on to search for more people who drowned. According to the district administration, the accident occurred due to overcrowding in the boat.

Muhammad Saeed Khan is a Pakistani Islamic scholar and founder of Al-Nadwah Educational Trust, in Islamabad, Pakistan. He participated in the 1995 Pakistani coup d'état attempt and edited journals including Al-Nadwah and Al-Manad. He is a member of the core-committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

On 18 April 2023, a landslide occurred in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region. A thunder and lightning storm that occurred caused the landslip, which buried more than 20 trucks and resulted in at least seven fatalities and dozens more who are thought to be trapped.
