At the Railway accident near Halfweg on 2. November 1966, an electric multiple unit derailed near Halfweg in North Holland.

History

On 2. November 1966 derailed ElD4 521 (NS Mat '64) as part of train No 1018 near Halfweg. The train had sped over a switch and derailed. This led to damages in all cars. After the derailment the leading unit Bk1 came to a standstill beside the track, the BD carriage stood complete beside the track, while the AB- and the other motor unit Bk2 landed on their sides in a ditch. On 7 November 1966 the train arrived for repairs at Revisiebedrijf Haarlem. It was returned to service on 24 July 1967. The opportunity was used to undertake also a small revision (H2). [1] [2]

VV Goes is a football club from Goes, Netherlands. In the 1911–1912 season Goes played in the second tier of Dutch football. Over the years Goes played mostly in the Tweede and Derde Klasse. In the national 1934–35 KNVB Cup Goes started and lost third round against VV Terneuzen (2–0). It was booted first round in 1957–58 by NOAD (2–4) and in 2011–12 by Zwaluwen Vlaardingen (1–5). Gerard Weber is a Dutch former professional footballer for Excelsior Rotterdam. Nicknamed Webertje, Weber was known for his speed. He played both as a midfielder and as a forward. Weber won several championships with Excelsior. He went on to manage football teams in the Rotterdam region, living in Zwijdrecht.

The Ubica buildings are two adjacent buildings standing at 24 and 26 Ganzenmarkt, in central Utrecht, the Netherlands. Number 24 is a rijksmonument. The first recorded mention of the buildings is from 1319. After centuries of residential use, the buildings were bought by the Ubica mattress company in 1913 and used until a devastating fire in 1989. The buildings were then squatted for 21 years, before being redeveloped into a hotel and café-restaurant in 2014.
