Raised by Wolves is an upcoming American drama television series set to premiere on TNT.

Premise

Raised by Wolves centers around "two androids — Father and Mother — tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task." [1]

Development

On October 8, 2018, it was announced that TNT had given the production a series order. Executive producers were expected to include Ridley Scott, Aaron Guzikowski, David W. Zucker, Jordan Sheehan, Adam Kolbrenner, and Robyn Meisinger. Scott was also set to direct the series and Guzikowski to write it. Production companies involved with the series were slated to consist of Scott Free Productions, Studio T, and Madhouse Entertainment. [2] [3] [4]

Aaron Guzikowski is an American screenwriter. He is best known for writing the 2013 film Prisoners and creating the 2014 television series The Red Road.

David W. Zucker

David W. Zucker is an television executive. He is currently President of Television for Scott Free Productions. He is the executive producer of the television adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s book The Man in the High Castle for Amazon, the spin-off show The Good Fight for CBS, the AMC horror anthology series The Terror, the CBS drama Strange Angel, and the FOX television adaptation of The Passage, Justin Cronin’s fantasy book trilogy. Forthcoming projects include the National Geographic limited series The Hot Zone, based on the Richard Preston book and starring Julianna Margulies. Production is also underway on a flagship TNT sci-fi series, Raised by Wolves, the first-ever to be helmed by Ridley Scott, a drama about androids raising human children in an outer space colony.

In January 2019, it was announced that Travis Fimmel, Amanda Collin, Abubakar Salim, Winta McGrath, Niamh Algar, Felix Jamieson, Ethan Hazzard, Jordan Loughran, Aasiya Shah, and Ivy Wong had been cast in starring roles. [1] [5]
