Tennis on TNT is a television program produced by the basic cable television network TNT that broadcasts the main professional tennis tournaments in the United States. From 2000-2002, TNT alongside CNN Sports Illustrated (and CNNfn [1] in 2002 due to the former shutting down operations earlier in the year) broadcast same day, weekday coverage (approximately 89 hours of programming with TNT covering about 61 hours [2] in prime time) of Wimbledon, [3] replacing sister network HBO. TNT was ultimately replaced by ESPN2 while NBC still handled the American broadcast television portion of Wimbledon coverage. ESPN would eventually gain exclusive rights to Wimbledon, starting with the 2012 tournament.

In June 2024, it was reported [5] that the U.S. rights to the French Open had been acquired by TNT Sports beginning in 2025, as part of an overall deal with Warner Bros. Discovery that also includes a renewal of its pan-European rights with Eurosport. [6] [7]

NBA on TNT is an American presentation of National Basketball Association (NBA) games, produced by TNT Sports. In the United States, the TNT cable network has held the rights to broadcast NBA games since 1989, making it TNT's longest-running regular program and sporting event, dating back to only a year after TNT's launch on October 3, 1988. Its telecasts have also been streamed on its Max platform since 2023. TNT's NBA coverage includes the Inside the NBA studio show, weekly doubleheaders throughout the regular season on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a majority of games during the first two rounds of the playoffs, and one conference finals series.

Two-time defending champion Martina Navratilova defeated Chris Evert Lloyd in the final, 7–6(7–5), 6–2 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 1984 Wimbledon Championships. It was her fifth Wimbledon singles title and tenth major singles title overall.

Steffi Graf defeated Gabriela Sabatini in the final, 6–4, 3–6, 8–6 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 1991 Wimbledon Championships. It was her third Wimbledon singles title and tenth major title overall, while it was Sabatini's third and last appearance in a major final.
