The Shapla Square protests, also known as the siege of Dhaka, Operation Shapla, Operation Flash Out by security forces, was the protests and subsequent shootings of 5 and 6 May 2013 at Shapla Square, located in the Motijheel district, the main financial area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Bangladesh Police Liberation War Museum is a museum that commemorates the contribution of Bangladesh Police to the Bangladesh Liberation War. It is located at Rajarbagh Police Lines on 1.5 bighas of land area and was established on 24 March 2013. It contains various materials and symbols which denote the sacrifice of police soldiers during the war. The museum's research unit identified a police officer killed in British Council premises during the Bangladesh Liberation war. Habibur Rahman is a former Bangladeshi police officer. He served as 35th commissioner of DMP. Prior to join here he was head of the Tourist Police. From 2019 to 2022, he was deputy inspector general (DIG) of Dhaka Range, and DIG of administration and discipline at the police headquarters in Dhaka. He was sent into retirement from government service in public interest according to the provisions of section no. 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018.

Jolshiri Abashon is an under construction residential area developed by Jolshiri Abashon corporation, a sister corporation of the Army Officers Housing Scheme, in Rupganj Upazila, Narayanganj District. It is exclusively built for Bangladesh Army officers. It was referred to by the name Army Housing Scheme in the past.
