Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd., popularly known as RIICO, is a premier agency of Government of Rajasthan that has played an important role in the industrial development of Rajasthan.

RIICO is owned by Government of Rajasthan and it is an apex organisation of government of Rajasthan for development of industrial infrastructure within the state. RIICO is mainly engaged in site selection and acquisition of land, developing infrastructure for industrial area, financial assistance to small, medium and large-scale projects, equity participation in large projects on merit, technical consultancy for project identification and technical tie up, escort services, facilitation of government clearances, extending incentives and concessions as per the policy of the State Government.

The corporation was incorporated on 28 March 1969 as RSIMDC under the Companies Act 1956, [1] and got its present name on 1 January 1980. It has 30 unit offices in Rajasthan and has 800 staffs. RIICO has developed 360 industrial areas by acquiring about 85,390 acres (345.6 km2) of land. Around 42,300 industries are in production within the industrial areas developed by RIICO in Rajasthan.

In 1980, RSIMDC split into RIICO and Rajasthan State Mineral Development Corporation Limited (RSMDC).

Barmer Refinery is an upcoming public sector refinery and petrochemical complex in the Pachpadra near Balotra in Barmer district of Rajasthan, India. It is owned by HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited(HRRL), a joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and the Government of Rajasthan.This refinery will be connected with Jamnagar Refinery and Bathinda Refinery through Amritsar Jamnagar Expressway.

Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) is a greenfield industrial planned city near Dholera in Gujarat's Ahmedabad district, around 100 kilometers to the south-west.spread over more than 920 km2 it is a new industrial city being jointly developed by the Government of India and Gujarat. Dholera is strategically located, well connected with trade gateways and falls in the influence zone of proposed Delhi – Mumbai Industrial Corridor project (DMIC), a joint initiative by the Government of India and Japan.
