Rajdhanir Buke is a Bengali-language East Pakistani drama film, directed by Ehtesham, starring Rahman, Shabnam, Chitra Sinha, Subhash Dutt, Nargis, Golam Mustafa, and Azim. In the film Shabnam, Subhash Dutt and Golam Mustafa were debuted.

Ghosh gained fame in the mid-1960s when Rushdi sang his compositions in films like Chakori (1967), Jahan Tum Wahan Hum, Paisa, etc.

Bengalis in Pakistan are ethnic Bengali people who had lived in either West Pakistan or East Pakistan prior to 1971 or live in present-day Pakistan. Most Pakistani Bengalis, are bilingual speaking both Urdu and Bengali and are mainly settled in Karachi. Ferdausi Rahman also known as Ferdausi Begum is a Bangladeshi playback singer. She is the daughter of folk singer Abbas Uddin. She sang some popular film songs for Pakistani films also in the 1960s especially working with the music composer Robin Ghosh in film Chakori released in 1967. She was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1977 and Independence Day Award in 1995 by the Government of Bangladesh. In addition, she was awarded the lifetime achievement award of the National Film Award in the year 2015.

Ehtesham ur Rahman, known as Captain Ehtesham, was a Bangladeshi and Pakistani film director. On his death in 2002 he was described as a pioneer of the film industry in Dhaka, and one of Bangladesh's leading directors.

Notun Kuri is a Bangladeshi reality television competition series for child artistes created by Mustafa Monwar. The show debuted in 1966 which ran on Pakistan Television from 1966 to 1971. The name of the show comes from a poem named "Kishor (Teenager)" by Golam Mostofa.

Harano Din is a 1961 East Pakistani Bengali-language film directed by Mustafiz and starring Shabnam and Ghulam Mustafa in the lead roles. Mustafiz's brother Ehtesham produced the movie. Ferdousi Rahman crooned the evergreen hit song "Ami Rupnagarer Rajkanya", composed by Robin Ghosh.

Azim was a Bangladeshi film actor. He is best known for his role in Rupban (1965) as Rahim Badshah opposite Sujata.

Chitra Sinha is a Bangladeshi film actress, dancer and also producer. In 1960, she made her acting debut with the film Rajdhanir Buke, directed by Ehtesham. In that film, she became popularity with co-actor Rahman. In her short acting career, she played only nine films. After marrying film director Kazi Zaheer, she assumed the name Chitra Sinha to Chitra Zahir. He is currently the proprietor of Chitra Films Production Company. Since the sixties, several notable films were produced through this organization.

<i>Nacher Putul</i> 1971 film directed by Ashok Ghosh

Nacher Putul is a Bengali-language Pakistani drama film, directed by Ashok Ghosh. Story by Ahmed Zaman Chowdhury and script and dialogue by Jahirul Haque. The film produced by Azizur Rahman under the banner of Rana Films. The film stars Razzak and Shabnam played in the lead role. The music was composed by Robin Ghosh. Khan Zainul, Sultana Zaman, Rani Sarkar, Inam Ahmed and Kazi Mehfuzul Haq also starred in the supporting roles.

Anisur Rahman Anis was a Bangladeshi film, television and theatre actor who acted in more than 250 films. He was known for acting in comic roles.

<i>Chanda</i> (1962 film) 1962 film

Chanda is a Pakistani Urdu-language film that was released on 3 August 1962 in Pakistan. It stars Rehman and Sultana Zaman in lead roles. It is the first Urdu-language film to be produced in East Pakistan. It was also Shabnam's Urdu film debut.
