The story is by Rajesh Nair, screenplay & dialogues by Sandeep Robinson, Deepak Prabhakaran and Nithin Bhadran . Several plots as well as the general thread of the movie have an uncanny similarity to the Hollywood thriller The Next Three Days. Escape From Uganda started rolling in Uganda from 7 July. It was shot completely in Uganda and was the first Malayalam film to be shot extensively in Africa.

He also served as co-director and wrote the dialogues for Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (2017). Pushkaran won the National Film Award for Best Screenplay for Maheshinte Prathikaram at the 64th National Film Awards (2016).
Sudev Nair is an Indian actor and model working in Malayalam films best known for his performance in the 2014 film My Life Partner, for which he was awarded the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor in 2014. He also starred in the 2019 Hindi film, India's Most Wanted in the title role opposite Arjun Kapoor.

Salt Mango Tree is a 2015 Indian Malayalam-language comedy-drama film directed by Rajesh Mohanan, starring Biju Menon, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli and Suhasini Maniratnam. The film is a remake of the 2014 Bengali film Ramdhanu and the title is taken from the Mohanlal starrer Doore Doore Oru Koodu Koottam (1986).

Best known for his compositions for the soundtrack of the 2022 Malayalam film Hridayam and the music album Qadham Badha(transl. Step Forward) produced by British singer-songwriter Sami Yusuf. Wahab is the recipient of 2021 Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director for the soundtrack of the film Hridayam.

Jishnu Raghavan Alingkil, mononymously known as Jishnu was an Indian actor who predominantly appeared in Malayalam films including Tamil and Hindi films. He was the son of Film actor and director Raghavan. He is the recipient of Kerala Film Critics Awards, Asianet Film Awards and Mathrubhumi Film Awards.
