Rajith CR, better known as Rajith Menon, is an Indian actor and director who made his acting debut through the Malayalam movie Goal and in Tamil through Ninaithathu Yaaro .

Personal life

Rajith Menon did his schooling in Abu Dhabi Model School, and continued his bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering at St. Joseph's College of Engineering in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He has also pursued MBA in HR from Sikkim Manipal University. He is married to Dr Sruthi Mohan and they have a daughter named "Malhara"

Direction

He debuted into direction with music video "Love Policy" starring Aju Varghese and Shritha Sivadas with Govind Padmasoorya Bhagath Manuel doing cameo roles and was Sony Music second venture in Kerala. This music video had music by Sreejith-Saachin of yuvhh fame and was sung by Sooraj Santhosh and Remya Nambeesan. It went on to become one of the top trending music videos in YouTube. [2]

His second music video was a dedication to motherhood titled "Anbendraale Amma" in Tamil and "With Love Maa" in Hindi and had Zarina Wahab in the lead role. Distributed by Times music, music by Renjith unni and sung by Shweta Mohan and Saptaparna Chakraborty respectively. This went on to become an instant hit and viral and everyone praised for the heart touching theme taken and direction. [3]

Rajith's directorial Tamil short film titled My Death Certificate has won numerous awards and accolades at many Indian and international film festivals with unanimous critical response and reviews.

Apart from being an ad film maker, he is also the managing director of an ad agency called Arvy Productions.

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa is the soundtrack of the 2010 Tamil romance film of the same name, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The soundtrack album and background score were composed by A. R. Rahman, collaborating with Menon for the first time. The lyrics for the songs were penned by Menon's usual associate, Thamarai along with Kalyani Menon and Kaithapram, the latter penning the Malayalam lyrics in the album. The album was released on 25 December 2009 in London with several film personalities participating at the grand function. It was the first time that a Tamil film audio release was held in London. It was followed by an audio launch function which was also held in Chennai on 6 January 2010. Sony Music India released the album. The album opened to positive reviews from music critics. The audio was marked as #1 in Asia, in terms of advance bookings. The album was ranked among the best musicals of 2010. A collector's edition of the film was released on 1 December 2010, which featured two unreleased tracks. The same soundtrack album was reused in the simultaneous Telugu version Ye Maaya Chesave (2010) and its Hindi remake Ekk Deewana Tha (2012).

Neethaane En Ponvasantham is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film co written, co produced and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, starring Jiiva and Samantha. This film is shot simultaneously in Telugu, Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu, with Nani replacing Jiiva, while the team also briefly filmed an incomplete Hindi version with Aditya Roy Kapoor, with Samantha playing the leading female role in all three versions. The film is based on a story written by Reshma Ghatala, who produced the film alongside Elred Kumar, Venkat Somasundaram and Menon. The cinematography was handled by M. S. Prabhu and Om Prakash. The film's background score and soundtrack were composed by Ilaiyaraaja which went on to become a chartbuster, and the soundtrack album sold a record 8.5 million units through various platforms on its release.

Balaji Mohan is an Indian filmmaker and actor in Tamil-language films. After discontinuing his engineering studies to pursue his passion and become a director, he enrolled at a film academy and attended courses and workshops, besides participating in short film contests. After shooting more than half-a-dozen short films, he directed his first full-length film romantic comedy Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi based on one of his own short films.

Rahman; lyrics are penned by Anantha Sreeram, along with Kalyani Menon and Kaithapram, the latter penning the Malayalam lyrics in the album. This is the sixth time that A. R. Rahman composed music for a direct Telugu film and the fourth time that he composed the entire soundtrack for a Telugu film. This also marked Rahman's comeback into Telugu cinema after six years.
