Rajiv Chintaman Yeravdekar is an Indian Educationist, & is better known as the Dean and Faculty of Health & Biomedical Sciences of Symbiosis International University. He is on the Board of Governors of the Medical Council of India [1] and is dean of Pune-based Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS) [2]

Amrita Hospital, formerly known as Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is a tertiary care centre based in Kochi, India attached to Amrita University school of medicine. He is a former director of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) and is reported to have performed the first implantation of Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) therapy in South Asia. He is also credited with the introduction of Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy in India. He is a recipient of several honours including B. C. Roy Award, the highest Indian award in the medical category. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 2006, for his contributions to medicine. Shiv Kumar Sarin is an Indian gastroenterologist, hepatologist, translational scientist, researcher and teacher. He set up the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences. He is a recipient of the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize and the Padma Bhushan. He served as chairman of the Board of Governors of Medical Council of India.
