Rakeem Joseph (born 23 May 2000) is a US Virgin Islands soccer player who plays as a centre forward for Antigua and Barbuda Premier Division club Aston Villa (St. John's). [1] Born in Antigua and Barbuda, he represents the US Virgin Islands national team and is their all-time top goalscorer. [2]
Rakeem Joseph has spent his entire club career playing for clubs in the Antigua and Barbuda Premier Division. He had two spells playing for Empire between 2015–2018 and 2019–2024 respectively, and he joined his current team Aston Villa (St. John's) in 2024. [1]
He scored 7 goals during the 2024–25 Antigua and Barbuda Premier Division season.
Born in Antigua and Barbuda, Joseph represents the US Virgin Islands national team. [1]
He made his debut for US Virgin Islands on 9 September 2018 during the 8–0 loss against Canada during 2019–20 CONCACAF Nations League qualifying. [3] He scored his first goal for US Virgin Islands on 17 October 2023 during the 2–1 loss against the Cayman Islands during 2023–24 CONCACAF Nations League. [4]
He scored a hat-trick against the Marshall Islands on 14 August 2025 which saw him become his country's leading top goalscorer with five goals. [5]
