Rakesh Varre is an Indian actor and producer who works in Telugu cinema. [1] He played negative roles in some films including the Baahubali film series, [2] before making his lead debut in Evvarikee Cheppoddu (2019). [3]

Career

Rakesh Varre entered the film industry after being inspired by Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari . [4] When V. V. Vinayak was auditioning for a negative role in Badrinath (2011), a hundred people auditioned for the role with their photos while he sent a video. [4] He entered the Baahubali film series (2015-17) after auditioning as a character from Mahabharata during the film series' scripting stage when they needed a budding actor with a lot of free dates. [4] He played the lead role in Evvarikee Cheppoddu (2019) and decided to produce the film after no producer came forward. [4] He worked as a producer for Pekamedalu . [5]

Baahubali: The Beginning is a 2015 Indian epic action film co-written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli, and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works. The film was filmed in both Telugu and Tamil languages. It features Prabhas in a dual role alongside Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj, and Nassar. The first of a duology of films, it follows Sivudu, an adventurous young man who helps his love Avantika rescue Devasena, the former queen of Mahishmati who is now a prisoner under the tyrannical rule of king Bhallaladeva. Baahubali is an Indian Telugu-language epic fantasy media franchise created by S. S. Rajamouli. The franchise started off with a two-part film series directed by Rajamouli.
