Ramiro "Ram" Herrera is a Tejano musician. He was nominated at the Latin Grammy Awards of 2002 in the category Latin Grammy Award for Best Tejano Album for the 2001 album Ingrata , and nominated again for Ram Herrera and the Outlaw Band at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards 2007. [1] At the 1999 Tejano Music Awards, Herrera received a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Tejano music, also known as Tex-Mex music, is a popular music style fusing Mexican and US influences. Typically, Tejano combines Mexican Spanish vocal styles with dance rhythms from Czech and German genres – particularly polka or waltz. Intocable is an American band from Zapata, Texas that plays regional Mexican music; specializing in norteño and tejano music. It was started by friends Ricardo Javier Muñoz and René Orlando Martínez in the early 1990s. In a few years, Intocable fused the genres Tejano and Norteño with a musical signature that fused Tejano's robust conjunto and Norteño folk rhythms with a pop balladry. Intocable is perhaps the most influential group in Tejano and their tough Tejano/Norteño fusion has become the blueprint for several Tejano bands. The group's style combines romantic, hooky melodies, tight instrumentation and vocal harmony.
Ven Conmigo is the second studio album by American singer Selena, released on November 12, 1990, by EMI Latin. The singer's brother, A.B. Quintanilla III remained her principal record producer and songwriter after her debut album's moderate success. Selena's Los Dinos band composed and arranged seven of the album's ten tracks; local songwriter Johnny Herrera also provided songs for Selena to record. Ven Conmigo contains half cumbias and half rancheras, though the album includes other genres. Its musical compositions are varied and demonstrate an evolving maturity in Selena's basic Tejano sound. The album's structure and track organization were unconventional compared with other Tejano music albums. The songs on Ven Conmigo are mostly love songs or songs following a woman's struggles after many failed relationships.

Rebecca Valadez is a Latina singer, actress, and former member of the Tejano group, Mazz. She performed on the group's 2002 Latin Grammy award-winning album, Siempre Humilde. Her solo album, Rebecca Valadez, under AMI Records Latin was nominated as "Best Tejano Album" for the 2006 Grammy Awards. Valadez was a backup singer on Janet Jackson's 1998-1999 Velvet Rope concert tour and played the lead role in matinee performances of the 2000 musical Selena Forever.
Arturo Castillo, Jr., better known as AJ Castillo, is an American singer of Mexican descent. He is a cumbia, and Tejano music recording artist, accordionist, singer, performer, and producer. His debut album, "Who I Am", was released in 2009. His second album, On My Way, was released in 2010. Castillo won Best New Artist – Male at the 2010 Tejano Music Awards.
Jonny Martinez is an Tejano Tejano/country singer, producer, arranger, composer, and songwriter, based in San Antonio, Texas. He has positioned himself as an independent artist who is interested in recording authentic Tejano, Tex-Mex and country music. He has been recording since 1988, to include "Que Bonita"(1991 Carino Records), "Caminos Chuecos", "Ron Con Coca Cola" ), "Mujer Mexicana", "La Callejera", "Lo Mejor de Jonny Martinez" "Dedicado A Mi Madre" and "Admirando a Mi Padre". Martinez, owner and producer of AMI Records Latin, signed Rebecca Valadez in 2005 and received a Grammy Award nomination in 2006 for Best Tejano Album. In 2007, he also participated as a recording engineer for Ram Herrera, in which the CD was nominated for Best Tejano Album. In 2008 & 2009, Martinez was involved in yet two more CD projects as an engineer with Grammy Nominations under Sunny Sauceda for Tejas Records.

The Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea is an all-female mariachi band based in Los Angeles, California. The band was founded in 1999 by Cindy Shea. In 2009, they became the first all-female mariachi band ever to be nominated for a Grammy Award, and the first to win one. As of 2016, the band has been nominated for seven Grammy awards, winning twice. They are the official mariachi band of the Disneyland resort. In May 2014, they headlined the opening of a new dinner theater in Anaheim, California dedicated exclusively to mariachi music.

Un Amigo Tendras is the seventeenth studio album by American Tejano music singer Jay Perez. It is the first album by Perez since New Horizons (2012). Un Amigo Tendras peaked at number 15 on the US Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. The album was nominated for Tejano Album of the Year at the 2016 Latin Grammy Awards. Un Amigo Tendras won Tejano Album of the Year at the 2017 Tejano Music Awards, while the title track won Song of the Year.
