Rama Kanta Dewri is a Bharatiya Janata Party politician from the Indian state of Assam. He has been elected in Assam Legislative Assembly election in 2016 from Marigaon constituency. [1] [2] [3] [4]

On 18 February 2017, a sex tape featuring Dewri went viral in the Marigaon constituency. [5] Dewri denied involvement in the video and said he would resign if forensic tests showed his involvement.

Himanta Biswa Sarma is an Indian politician and lawyer serving as the 15th and current Chief Minister of Assam since 2021. A former member of the Indian National Congress, Sarma joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on 23 August 2015. He is a five time Member of the Assam Legislative Assembly from Jalukbari, having been elected since 2001.
