Ramakrishnan Raman is the Vice Chancellor of Symbiosis International University.
Ramakrishnan Raman holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences, an MBA, and a doctoral degree in Management from Pune University. [1]
Raman has held several administrative roles at Symbiosis International University, including Dean of the Faculty of Management, Director of the Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology as well as the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management-Pune, and Director of Strategy & Development. In these roles, Raman also established international institutional collaborations with universities in Japan, the UK, Canada, and the US. In October 2023 he was named Vice Chancellor. [1]
As a scholar, Raman has published more than 250 academic papers according to the IEEE. [2] His research has focused on topics including Information Systems, IT Strategy, Entrepreneurship, AI, and Big Data. [3] He has also advocated for the integration of digital and hybrid learning as a method to bridging socio-economic divides within the student population and institution. [4] His work has been cited more than 18,700 times. [5]
