Ramal Amanov (Azerbaijani : Ramal Rəsul oğlu Amanov, Russian : Рамал Аманов; born 13 September 1984) is an Azerbaijani boxer competing at lightweight.

Azerbaijani language Turkic language

Azerbaijani or Azeri, sometimes also Azeri Turkic or Azeri Turkish, is a term referring to two Turkic lects that are spoken primarily by the Azerbaijanis, who live mainly in Transcaucasia and Iran. Caucasian Azerbaijani and Iranian Azerbaijani have significant differences in phonology, lexicon, morphology, syntax, and sources of loanwords. ISO 639-3 groups the two lects as a "macrolanguage".

In the 2005 World Amateur Boxing Championships, Amanov won silver at lightweight, losing the final 28:42 to Cuban Yordenis Ugás having beaten one of the favorites Domenico Valentino of Italy 29:22 in the semifinal. [2]

The men's 2005 World Amateur Boxing Championships were held in Mianyang, China, from November 13 to November 20. The competition was organised by the world's governing body for amateur boxing AIBA.

Frankie Gavin (boxer) British boxer

Frankie Raymond Gavin is a British professional boxer. He held the British and Commonwealth welterweight titles between 2012 and 2015, and has challenged once for the IBF welterweight title in 2015. As an amateur, Gavin won a gold medal in the lightweight division at the 2007 World Championships, becoming England's first ever winner of that event. He also won lightweight gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
