Ramesh Kumar Pandey is an Indian academic, and the former vice-chancellor of Ranchi University. [1] [2] [3]

Biography

Pandey was born and brought up in Jharkhand (then Bihar). He completed his Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D. from Ranchi University. He was a post-doctoral fellow at University of Nottingham. In his 37 years teaching career he wrote more than 25 research papers. [1]

In 2015 he was appointed as vice-chancellor of Ranchi University. [1] At the time of joining he told about his priority:

My priority is to organize students' union elections. It is only through students' representatives that we come to know about the problems of students. I will talk to the members of all student unions and will finalize a date for the elections as soon as possible.

Earlier, he was the Vice-Chancellor (In-charge) of Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Vishakhapatnam. A.K. Koul was the founding Vice-Chancellor of the university, who specialized in international trade law, especially WTO. Earlier he was the vice-chancellor of National Law University, Jodhpur. The university is located on Kanke-Pithoria Road on the outskirts of Ranchi just ahead of Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry & Allied Sciences and Birsa Agricultural University surrounded by Outer Ranchi Ring Road. Narendra Kumar Pandey is an Indian surgeon, hospital administrator, and founder of the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, known for his expertise in Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS). He was honoured by the Government of India in 2014, and was bestowed the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the field of medicine.

The Banaras Hindu University Students' Union generally abbreviated as BHU Students' Union or BHUSU, was the students' union of Banaras Hindu University.
