Rameshwar Lal Dudi (born 1 July 1963) is an Indian politician,farmer leader from Bikaner,Rajasthan. [1] He served as the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. He served as the Member of Parliament,Lok Sabha from Bikaner from 1999 to 2004,but he lost the seat to Dharmendra Deol in 2004. He is a member of the Indian National Congress. [2] [3]
Dudi was born on July 1,1963 in Bikaner in a Jat family. His father was Jetha Ram Dudi and mother was Asha Devi. [4] He did B.Com. from B.J.S. Rampuria College,Bikaner.
In 1983,Dudi married Sushila Devi. [1]
Dudi is a prominent farmer leader and he is politically active since 1995. He is a senior leader of Indian National Congress and was also Leader of the opposition,Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. [5] [6] In 1995,Dudi started politics at the Panchayati Raj level,he was elected as a Pradhan from Nokha in 1995 to 1999. He is also a former Member of Parliament and represented Bikaner in Lok Sabha from 1999 to 2004. [7] He was also a Member of Committee on food,Civil supplies and Public distribution,Lok Sabha from 1999 to 2000. He was elected as Member of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Nokha constituency in 2013. [8] He lost from Nokha constituency to Biharilal Bishnoi of BJP in 2018. [9]
