Ranjan Bista is a highly decorated former member of the Nepal national football team, and a NHA coach. [1]

History

A former Boys Union Club (BUC) custodian, Bista is also the founder of the two-time ‘A' Division League champions Sunakhari Club. Bista also helped BUC claim the ‘A' Division League in 1975 under the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). Bista represented Nepal in the DCM Cup (New Delhi) in 1975, Agatha Gold Cup (Dhaka) in 1979, Presidents Cup (Bangladesh) in 1979, Asian Youth Football (Bangladesh) 1980, King's Cup (Bangkok) in 1982, the ninth Asiad (Delhi) in 1982 and the Darjeeling Gold Cup in 1982.

Bista is a family name of people of Nepal belonging to Khas people group under the caste Chhetri, sub-groups of Kshatriya varna and the Bahun caste of Brahmin varna. They are Hindu with a local Masto deity. They speak Nepali language as mother tongue. In India, Bista/Bistas are spelled as Bisht/Bishts or Bist/Bists and are titled as Rajputs. They are mostly found in Indian state of Uttarakhand. Bista is also a surname belonging to the Brahmins of the Kumain Bahun subcaste.

Ashish Bhadra is a former Bangladeshi footballer. An attacking midfielder, he achieved most of his laurels while playing for Abahani Limited Dhaka in the Dhaka League. He was a big factor in Abahani dominating the Dhaka football scene in the early 1980s.

Mohammed Mohsin is a former Bangladeshi football player and coach. He spent his entire playing career with Brothers Union and captained the club alongside the Bangladesh national team, in 1979. Moshin was a member of the 1980 AFC Asian Cup squad. He is also considered to be one of the best forwards to ever play for Bangladesh and was a lethal marksman in the Dhaka League during the mid 1970s and early 1980s.

Shahidur Rahman Chowdhury , known by his nickname Shantoo, is a former Bangladeshi football player and manager.

Hasanuzzaman Khan Bablu is a retired Bangladeshi football player and manager. At club level, Bablu is most well known for representing Gopibagh based Brothers Union. In Dhaka football, he has scored 75 goals including a hattrick. Bablu also represented the Bangladesh national team in the 1980 AFC Asian Cup, and played for the country between 1975 and 1982. After retiring, he managed the national team as an interim in 2000, 2003 and 2006.

Golam Sarwar Tipu, is a former Bangladeshi football player and manager. He is one of the few East Pakistani footballers to represent the Pakistan national football team.
