Raquel Kasham Daniel is a social entrepreneur, educator and author [1] of several books including FLOW: a girl's guide to menstruation. [2] She has received numerous awards for her work with educating marginalised children in Nigeria. [3] [4] She is also a recipient of the African Luther King Heroes Award. [5] She founded Beyond the Classroom Foundation as a response to the social and educational needs of underprivileged children [6] and created Nzuriaiki.com (now voluserve.com), an online platform that connects nonprofits with volunteers in Africa. [7] She also co-founded Bambini Africa, creators of Bambini Books and Bambini TV. [8]

Early life

According to her account from interviews, Daniel is from Kaduna State and lived in Kaduna and Lagos most of her life. She is the first child in a family of four and the only girl. She lost her dad when she was sixteen and her mother four years later. [9] [6]

Kunle Afolayan is a Nigerian actor, producer and director. He is widely credited for elevating the quality of Nollywood movies through larger budgets, shooting on 35mm, releasing in cinemas, and improving cliché Nollywood storylines. After starting his film career as an actor in the 1999 political drama Saworoide, Afolayan made his directorial debut in 2006 with Irapada, a Nigerian supernatural thriller, which won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Film in an African Language. Aisha Augie-Kuta is a Nigerian photographer and filmmaker based in Abuja. She is a Hausa from Argungu Local Government Area in northern Nigeria. She won the award for Creative Artist of the year at the 2011 The Future Awards. Her work spans across documentary, fashion and aerial photography. She uses juxtaposition in her work as her way of pushing the idea that there are always two sides of a story; this comes from her background in photojournalism and Mass Communication. Her personal projects explore issues of gender and identity influenced by her experiences as a female, mixed race and mixed tribe individual who struggled to fit in earlier in life.

Chidinma Ekile, who is known professionally as Chidinma, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress. A native of Imo State, Chidinma was born in Ketu, Kosofe, Lagos State. In 2010, she gained prominence after winning the third season of Project Fame West Africa. Following the release of the music video for her "Emi Ni Baller" single, she became the first female musician to peak at number 1 on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart. In 2011, she released the Sound Sultan-assisted single "Jankoliko". Her eponymous debut album Chidinma, released through the music platform Spinlet, was supported by the singles "Jankoliko", "Carry You Go", "Kedike" and "Run Dia Mouth".
