Asha Bhosle is an Indian playback singer, entrepreneur, actress and television personality who predominantly works in Indian cinema. Known for her versatility, she has been described in the media as one of the most influential and successful singers in Hindi cinema. In her career spanning over eight decades she has recorded songs for films and albums in various Indian languages and received several accolades including two National Film Awards, four BFJA Awards, eighteen Maharashtra State Film Awards, nine Filmfare Awards including a Lifetime Achievement Award and a record seven Filmfare Awards for Best Female Playback Singer, in addition to two Grammy nominations. Kanwarjit Singh Sawhney, a.k.a. K.J. Singh is an Indian audio engineer/music producer based in Mumbai who won the 54th National Film Award for Best Audiography and Filmfare Award for Best Sound Design with Shajith Koyeri and Subash Sahu for his work on the 2006 film Omkara.
Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age romantic comedy film written and directed by Abbas Tyrewala and produced by Mansoor Khan and Aamir Khan under Aamir Khan Productions, with Ajay K. Bijli and Sanjeev K. Bijli of PVR Pictures acting as co-producers. Armaan Malik is an Indian singer, songwriter, record producer, voice-over, performer & actor. He is known for his singing in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, English, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Punjabi, Urdu and Malayalam. Abbas Tyrewala is an Indian film screenwriter, lyricist and director. After making his mark as a screenwriter and dialogue writer in the early 2000s, with award-winning films like Maqbool (2003), Munnabhai M.B.B.S. (2003), he made his debut as a director in 2008 with a romantic comedy Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na which turned out to be a critical and commercial hit and also featured an acclaimed soundtrack by A. R. Rahman.
Kabhi Na Kabhi is a 1998 Indian Hindi-language action film co-written and directed by Priyadarshan. It stars Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Pooja Bhatt. The film was produced by R. Mohan in the banner of a Malayalam film production company, Shogun Films. The film which began production in 1994 had a delayed release on 17 April 1998.
Jhootha Hi Sahi is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film co produced and directed by Abbas Tyrewala, under the banner of Saregama. It stars John Abraham, Pakhi Tyrewala, Raghu Ram, Manasi Scott and Alishka Varde in the leads roles. R. Madhavan makes an extended cameo appearance along with Nandana Sen in a cameo appearance. The background score and soundtrack is composed by A. R. Rahman, and the film is about a suicidal woman, whose "final" call mistakenly connects her to a man who gives her something to live for.
Neeti Mohan Sharma is an Indian singer. She sings mainly in Hindi and Tamil films, but has also done songs in Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Punjabi, and English. Born in Delhi, she was one of the winners of the Channel V's reality show Popstars, subsequently being chosen for Aasma, with other winners of the show. She rose to prominence after recording "Ishq Wala Love" for Student of the Year (2012), ultimately winning the Filmfare R. D. Burman Award for New Music Talent and was nominated for the Best Female Playback Singer for "Jiya Re" from Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012).
Jhootha Hi Sahi is the soundtrack to the 2010 Bollywood romantic comedy film of the same name, directed by Abbas Tyrewala starring John Abraham and Pakhi Tyrewala. The soundtrack, consisting of seven original tracks and two remix versions was composed by A. R. Rahman with lyrics penned by Abbas Tyrewala. The audio was officially released on 17 September by Sa Re Ga Ma at the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa competition. The album was very well received by the critics and was the chart topper for some weeks. The album has been praised by several reviewers as a newer genre in soundtracks.
Paakhi A Tyrewala is an Indian writer and director, who debuted in mainstream Bollywood in 2002 with the film Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?. She was relaunched by her husband Abbas Tyrewala in 2010 with her new name Paakhi in the film Jhootha Hi Sahi.
Rockstar is the soundtrack album, composed by A. R. Rahman, to the 2011 Hindi musical film of the same name, directed by Imtiaz Ali, and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri in the lead roles. The lyrics for all the songs of the album were penned by Irshad Kamil. The film also stars Shammi Kapoor, who makes his last silver screen appearance in the film. The audio was launched at a grand function at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai on 12 September 2014, with Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Chief Guest. The dubbed Hindi version of the album was released at a promotional event held in PVR, Mumbai on 31 December 2014. The dubbed Telugu version of the album was released digitally on the same day.
Aasma was an Indian pop group that formed in 2003, and has disbanded since. The band was composed of the winners of the second season of Indian version of the international television talent show Popstars, named Coke [V] Popstars, after its principal sponsors, Coca-Cola and music channel Channel [V].
