Ratan Raajputh, [1] is an Indian television actress and blogger known for her portrayal of Laali in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo on Zee TV. Later, she went on to play Amba in Mahabharat & Santoshi in Santoshi Maa . [1] [2] [3]

Early life

Ratan was born and brought up in Bihar and did her schooling from there.

Career

Ratan made television debut with Raavan in 2006. Raajputh rose to prominence with her portrayal of Laali in television series Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo and earned numerous accoloads. In 2013, Ratan participated in a reality show Bigg Boss 7 and got evicted on day 28.

Ratan lost her father and was suffering from depression when she begin traveling to cope with it. Following the lockdown in 2020, Ratan started her YouTube channel where she shares her traveling story. Ratan lockdown videos made waves on internet and was covered by major news portal. [4]

Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo is an Indian television series. It premiered on 16 March 2009 on Zee TV. It starred Ratan Rajput, Abhishek Rawat, Sudesh Berry, Mukul Harish, Richa Mukherjee, Dipika Kakar, Aditya Lakhia, Roopa Ganguly and Sukirti Kandpal. The show was produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary of Swastik Pictures.

Gauna is a northern Indian hindu custom and the ceremony associated with the consummation of marriage prevalent in the states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. It is associated with the custom of child marriage. The ceremony takes place several years after marriage. Before the ceremony, the bride stays at her natal home. Marriage is considered only as a ritual union and conjugal life begins only after gauna; that is marriage is consummated only after the gauna ceremony.

Swayamvar is a reality television show, where the contestants perform tasks and woo the hopeful bride/groom in return for their hand in marriage.
