Ratanpur Miri Gaon is a village in the Majuli district, in the northeastern state of Assam, India.

Majuli district is the biggest river island in the world in the Brahmaputra River, Assam and also 1st island district of the country.

Assam is a state in India, situated south of the eastern Himalayas along the Brahmaputra and Barak River valleys. Assam covers an area of 78,438 km² (30,285 sq mi). The state is bordered by Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh to the north; Nagaland and Manipur to the east; Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram and Bangladesh to the south; and West Bengal to the west via the Siliguri Corridor, a 22 kilometres (14 mi) strip of land that connects the state to the rest of India. Myanmar lies in about 1 hour distance connected to the easternmost part of Assam through the Ledo Road.

Demography

In the 2011 census, Missamora had 947 families with a population of 5,085, consisting of 2,575 males and 2,510 females.^[1] The population of children aged 0–6 was 621, making up 12.21% of the total population of the village.^[1] The average sex ratio was 975 out of 1000, which is higher than the state average of 958 out of 1000.^[1] The child sex ratio in the village was 899 out of 1000, which is higher than the average of 962 out of 1000 in the state of Assam.^[1]
