Rauf Dimraj is a football executive and coach who has been associated with KF Tirana for many years as a fitness coach and sporting director. On 21 May 2014 he was named as the vice minister of education and sport by the Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama. [1]

Rashid Rauf was an alleged Al-Qaeda operative. He was a dual citizen of Britain and Pakistan who was arrested in Bhawalpur, Pakistan in connection with the 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot in August 2006, a day before some arrests were made in Britain. The Pakistani Interior Minister, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, claimed that "he is an al Qaeda operative with linkages in Afghanistan". He was identified as one of the ringleaders of the alleged plot. In December 2006, the anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi found no evidence that he had been involved in terrorist activities, and his charges were downgraded to forgery and possession of explosives. Abdul Rauf al-Kasm is a Syrian architect, academic and politician who served as prime minister of Syria during the 1980s.

The 1995–96 NBA season was the Nuggets' 20th season in the National Basketball Association, and 29th season as a franchise. The Nuggets had the 15th overall pick in the 1995 NBA draft, and selected Brent Barry out of Oregon State University, but soon traded him to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for top draft pick Antonio McDyess from the University of Alabama, and acquired Don MacLean and Doug Overton from the Washington Bullets during the off-season. However, the team got off to a horrible start losing eight of their first nine games, as LaPhonso Ellis missed the first 37 games of the season with a knee injury. Despite the slow start, the Nuggets would then recover winning eight of their next nine games leading to a 9–9 start, but later on lost six straight games in January slipping below .500 with a 20–27 record at the All-Star break.

He is a Member of Supreme Council and Division Chief of Masjid Tanah of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition.
