Ravindra Singh also known as Ravindra Singh Kushwaha [1] is an Indian politician based in Bihar,who was elected to Bihar Legislative Assembly twice from Arwal Assembly constituency. [2] Singh was a member of Janata Dal and later became a member of Rashtriya Janata Dal. He is considered as one of the close accomplice of former Bihar Chief Minister,Lalu Prasad Yadav. Singh hails from communist background and before joining politics,he was a member of armed naxalite organisations active in the Bihar's red corridor. [3]
Singh was born to Hardayal Singh and spent later part of his life in Patna at his residence near Jagdeo Path. He is a member of Kushwaha (Koeri) caste of Bihar. [4] Before moving to Patna,he was an active Maoist. Singh was born in a prosperous farmer family,which owned 4.32 acre land in Aurangabad district of Bihar,besides residential land in Aurangabad. He took part in insurgencies conducted by several naxal organisations active in the state of Bihar,against the landlords. In the course of violence between the landlords and the naxal foot soldiers,he had to remain underground for 13 to 14 years to escape imprisonment. During this period,his house was raided 135 times and his ancestral property was attached by the police. He was discovered by Lalu Prasad Yadav in 1990s and all the cases pending against him were dropped in a supervision report,after Yadav assumed the premiership of the state. In 1994,District police gave him clean chit in all the cases lodged against him. In his election affidavit submitted to Election Commission of India,he admitted ownership of weapons,which included a revolver and a rifle. [5] [6]
He married Usha Saran,with whom he had two sons,Gaurav and Shashikant Prabhakar. Singh was brought into politics by Lalu Prasad Yadav,who first made him a candidate of Janata Dal in 1995 from Arwal Assembly constituency. [7]
In 2015,he was again made a candidate of Rashtriya Janata Dal from Arwal constituency and he defeated Chitranjan Kumar of Bharatiya Janata Party. He got 55,295 votes in this election,with Kumar and CPI-ML candidate Mahanand Singh finishing in second and third spot respectively. [8]
In 2023,his younger son Gaurav alias Diwakar was shot dead near Hichhan Bigha village in Aurangabad district of Bihar. Gaurav owned a poultry farm in the village and used to reside at his ancestral village. [1] Gaurav had contested Bihar Assembly elections in 2020 as an independent candidate from Arwal constituency. Janata Dal (United) (lit. 'People's Party (United)'),abbreviated as JD(U),is an Indian political party with political presence mainly in eastern and north-eastern India. JD(U) is recognised as a state party in the states of Bihar,Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur. JD(U) heads the government in Bihar under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and is also a member of the ruling government in Manipur. JD(U) won 16 seats in the 2019 Indian general election,making it the seventh largest party in the Lok Sabha.

Later,he formed Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP),which also merged with JD(U) in 2021. On 20 February 2023,Kushwaha resigned from all positions in Janata Dal (United) and formed his own party called Rashtriya Lok Morcha due to his political problems with JD(U) and Nitish Kumar.
Anant Kumar Singh is an Indian politician and a former MLA from the Mokama assembly constituency of Bihar. A former member of the Janata Dal (United) (JDU) party,he joined Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in 2020. According to his election affidavit of 2020,he is facing 38 criminal charges including 7 murders,11 attempt-to-murder and 4 cases of kidnapping.
Ritlal Yadav or Ritlal Ray is a leader of RJD who won the Bihar Legislative Council election in July 2015 as an independent candidate. Ritlal was in jail in connection with multiple criminal cases,including murder charges. Ritlal is accused in over 33 cases. He was a former Member of Legislative Council (MLC),the post,to which he was elected in 2016. He was incarcerated in Beur Jail until August 2020. However he was then released from the jail on bail. Ritlal Yadav defeated BJP's Asha Devi Sinha in the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections.
Satyadev Kushwaha is an Indian politician who is a leader of Janata Dal (United) party and a former member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. He was elected to the assembly from Kurtha in Arwal district. In 2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections he defeated Ashok Kumar Verma of Rashtriya Lok Samata Party.
Janardan Paswan is an Indian politician and two-time elected member from Chatra Vidhan Sabha constituency to Bihar and Jharkhand assembly. First he was elected in year 1995 on the ticket of Janta Dal for Bihar legislative assembly. After the partition of state of Bihar into two states Bihar and Jharkhand on 14 November 2000,BJP won the Chatra seat twice. Sahdeo Prasad Yadav was an Indian politician and a member of Bihar Legislative Assembly of India. He represented the Kurtha constituency in Arwal district of Bihar. He had been a Mukhiya of Chitaukhar-Jalalpur Panchayat for almost 25 years. First he became an MLA in 1980 while being in Lok Dal party. He was elected in 1995 as a member of Janata Dal. Yadav started his political career in 1957 as an Independent candidate from Tikari constituency but lost. Later this constituency named as Konch,now again becomes Tikari constituency from 2010 onwards. He also fought from here as a candidate of Indian National Congress in 1967 but lost to U. N. Verma of Samyukta Socialist Party and in 1969 lost to Ram Balav Saran Singh.

Suryadev Singh is a former Indian politician based in Bihar,who was elected to Bihar Legislative Assembly twice from Bikramganj Assembly constituency of Rohtas district. He was first elected to Bihar Legislative Assembly as the candidate of Indian People's Front in 1990 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. Later,he defected to Rashtriya Janata Dal and in a run up to 1995 Bihar Legislative Assembly election,he was again elected to Bihar Legislative Assembly,this time,on the symbol of Rashtriya Janata Dal. Before his retirement from politics,following his conviction in a murder case,he was a member of Janata Dal (United). The Bikramganj Assembly constituency ceased to exist after 2005,after the delimitation of constituencies.
