Raymond Blackhall (born 19 February 1957) is an English former professional footballer who played in the Football League for Carlisle United, Mansfield Town, Newcastle United and Sheffield Wednesday. [1] [2]

Horden is a village and electoral ward in County Durham, England. It is situated on the North Sea coast, to the east of Peterlee, approximately 12 miles south of Sunderland. Horden was a mining village until the closure of the Horden Colliery in 1987. Main features include the Welfare and Memorial Parks and St Mary's church. It is connected to the villages of Blackhall Colliery and Blackhall Rocks to its south by a spectacular rail viaduct which spans Castle Eden Dene near Denemouth. Horden Dene provides Horden's northern boundary with Easington Colliery.

Blackhall Gaels is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Parish of Kilcloon. The parish consists of the main townlands of Batterstown, Mulhussey and Kilcloon near the town of Dunboyne, in County Meath. The club plays hurling and football in Meath GAA competitions. The club grounds are located in Batterstown and Kilcloon, and training and matches take place in both these locations on a daily basis. Blackhall Gaels are a young team and currently compete at senior level. Players are usually graduates of the local primary schools: Scoil Naisiúnta Naomh Iosaif, Mulhussey; Scoil Oilibhéar Naofa, Kilcloon, and Rathregan NS in Batterstown. The club won the Meath Senior Football Championship in 2003 after beating Simonstown Gaels in the final.

Ralph Makepeace was an English footballer who played as a left half or centre half. After beginning his career in English local football, he emigrated to Canada, where he spent two years playing for Canadian clubs, including representing the province of Saskatchewan in the Dominion Championships. He returned to England and played for Blackhall Colliery Welfare, from where he signed for Football League First Division club Sunderland. He was released after a few months, and joined Third Division North club Hartlepools United, with whom he played 45 matches in the Football League over two seasons. He also played once in the Third Division for Darlington in between further spells with Blackhall Welfare.
