Rayan Jawad Kolli (born 10 February 2005) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for EFL Championship club Queens Park Rangers. Born in England, he represents Algeria at youth level.

Club career

Kolli signed for the Queens Park Rangers youth academy aged eight. ^[1] He signed his first professional contract for the club in January 2023. ^[2]

On 16 August 2023, he came on as a substitute in the 64th minute to make his professional debut in the first round of the EFL Cup against Norwich City. ^[3]

On 7 December 2024, Kolli scored his first senior goals with a brace in a 3–0 victory over Norwich City, a first home league victory of the season for the Rs. ^[4]

International career

Born in England, Kolli is of Algerian descent. He was called up to the Algeria under-17 squad for the 2021 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, but the tournament was cancelled. ^[5]

Online abuse

In the summer of 2024, Rayan Kolli received multiple hate comments from a user name "@qprxans" on Instagram. These comments wished him to have a career-ending injury and called him a terrorist sympathizer. These comments came to the attention of his father who took to Facebook to display his outrage and call @qprxans Islamophobic. This led to the abuser to get heaps of amount online, calling for him to be attacked. ^[6]
