Black Eyed Peas is an American musical group consisting of rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo and singer J. Rey Soul. The group's line-up during the height of their popularity in the 2000s featured Fergie, who replaced Kim Hill in 2002 and was replaced by Soul in 2018. Originally an alternative hip hop group, they subsequently refashioned themselves as a more marketable pop-rap act. Although the group was founded in Los Angeles in 1995, it was not until the release of their third album, Elephunk, in 2003, that they achieved high record sales.
Fergie Duhamel is an American singer and actress. She first achieved chart success as part of the hip hop group the Black Eyed Peas. Her debut solo album, The Dutchess (2006), saw commercial success and spawned three Billboard Hot 100 number one singles: "London Bridge", "Glamorous", and "Big Girls Don't Cry". Although she vocally incorporates rapping into some of her performances, she does not consider herself a rapper.
Third Eye Blind is an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California, in 1993. After years of lineup changes in the early and mid-1990s, the songwriting duo of Stephan Jenkins and Kevin Cadogan signed the band's first major-label recording contract with Elektra Records in 1996. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1997, with the band largely consisting of Jenkins, Cadogan, Arion Salazar, and Brad Hargreaves (drums). Shortly after the release of the band's second album in 1999, Blue, with the same line-up, Cadogan was released from the band under controversial circumstances.
"Brown Eyed Girl" is a song by Northern Irish singer and songwriter Van Morrison. Written by Morrison and recorded in March 1967 for Bang Records owner and producer Bert Berns, it was released as a single in June of the same year on the Bang label, peaking at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song spent a total of sixteen weeks on the chart. It featured the Sweet Inspirations singing back-up vocals and is considered to be Van Morrison's signature song.

"Better Be Home Soon" Sample (help·info) is a 1988 song written by Neil Finn and performed by rock band Crowded House. The song was released as a single in June 1988 by Capitol Records. It performed modestly on the American charts, but managed to peak at number two on the Australian and New Zealand charts. The song appeared on the album Temple of Low Men, which was later released in July 1988. In 2001, and the song was voted by members of APRA as the 33rd best New Zealand song of the 20th century. In 2005, following drummer Paul Hester's death, Neil Finn performed the song solo at the ARIA Awards while a montage of Hester's life was played in the background.

Her second studio album, The Valley (2017), saw the commercial success of her cover of "I Love You Always Forever", which peaked inside the top ten in Australia and reached the top of the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in the United States.
