Judge John Pini, QC was appointed honorary Recorder of Lincoln [1] on 1 December 2015. [2] He is a circuit judge, having been appointed Assistant Recorder and as a Recorder both in 2000. Pini was made a Queen's Counsel in 2006. [3]

The previous recorder was Judge Sean Morris who held this position between 2010 and 2014. There have now been 21 recorders in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, the first incumbent being Lord Monson (John Monson, 3rd Baron Monson) in 1768.

Sir John Griffith Williams is a retired Welsh judge of the High Court of England and Wales. He retired from the High Court with effect from 21 December 2014.

Sir Nicholas Richard Maybury Hilliard is a British judge who was the Recorder of London, an ancient and senior legal post at the Old Bailey, and before that Common Serjeant of London, the Recorder's second. The Recorder of Liverpool is also a Senior Circuit Judge of the Liverpool Crown Court in the North West Circuit. They are addressed in court as "My Lord" or "My Lady"

The Recorder of Belfast is one of the two senior County Court judges of Northern Ireland known as Recorders, the other being the Recorder of Derry.
