Xiaomi Redmi 9 was released in June 2020 globally and offers a 6.5-inch FHD+ display (2340x1080p resolution) with 89% screen-to-body ratio. [1] The handset is powered by Media Tek Helio G80 coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. [2]
For imaging duties, the Redmi 9 has a quad-camera setup of 13MP+8MP+5MP+2MP. On the front, there is an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Backed by a 5020mAh battery, the handset offers 18W fast charge support. [3] [4]
The same phone was released in India as Redmi 9 Prime in August 2020. This was first time since Redmi 3s Prime that the Prime moniker was used in Redmi series. [5] The phone is identical to Global Redmi 9 except it lacks an NFC chip. [6]
