Reelmonk is a Kochi-based online film distribution platform offering primarily Malayalam films aimed at the non-residential Indian audience. The platform was launched in July 2015 and was developed by Vivek Paul, Gautham Vyas, and Blaise Crowly of Xincoz Labs. [1] [2] [3] [4] Reelmonk is intended as a legal alternative to piracy. [3] [5] The site is no longer functional.

Releases

Ottaal , directed by Jayaraj, was released online through Reelmonk on the same day it opened on theaters, [6] making it the first film in India to release simultaneously in theatres and online. [7]

Alencier Ley Lopez is an Indian film and theatre actor, who appears in Malayalam films. Lopez made his debut in the 1998 film Daya; and he worked in films like Annayum Rasoolum (2013), Njan Steve Lopez (2013), and Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016).

Veeram (transl. Valour) is a 2016 Indian historical drama film written and directed by Jayaraj. It is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Macbeth, and is the fifth installment in Jayaraj's Navarasa series. The film, which also takes inspirations from the Vadakkan Pattukal of North Malabar region in Kerala tells the story of Chandu Chekavar, an infamous warrior in the 13th century North Malabar.
