The Summit League, or The Summit, is an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic conference with its membership mostly located in the Midwestern United States, from Minnesota in the east, to the Dakotas, Nebraska and Colorado to the West, and Missouri and Oklahoma to the South. Founded as the Association of Mid-Continent Universities in 1982, it rebranded as the Mid-Continent Conference in 1989, then again as the Summit League on June 1, 2007. The league headquarters are in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The CBU Capers are the athletic teams that represent Cape Breton University in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The teams were known as the UCCB Capers from 1982 to 2005 and their present name reflects the change in the institution's name. Alumni Gym is a 1,585-seat multi-purpose arena in Elon, North Carolina, United States. It was built in 1949 and was home to the Elon University men's and women's basketball teams and the women's volleyball team through the 2017–18 school year.

Conference Carolinas, formerly known as the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference (CVAC) or the Carolinas Conference, is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) primarily at the Division II level. It is also considered as one of the seven Division I conferences for men's volleyball. Originally formed in 1930, the league reached its modern incarnation in 1994. Member institutions are located in the southeastern United States in the states of Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The Conference Carolinas membership currently consists of 14 small colleges or universities, 12 private and two public.
The Elon Phoenix is the official mascot of Elon University, located in Elon, North Carolina. It is the name that each of the sports teams at the university are referred to. The university is a member of the Coastal Athletic Association and that league's technically separate football arm of CAA Football. Elon competes in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision, fielding 17 varsity teams in 11 sports.

It currently hosts the East Bay Pioneers soccer and track & field teams. The Western Michigan Broncos men's soccer team represents Western Michigan University in all NCAA Division I men's college soccer competitions. As of the next NCAA men's soccer season in 2023, the Broncos compete in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC), following the dropping of men's soccer by WMU's full-time home of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The team currently plays in the soccer-specific WMU Soccer Complex on the campus. The team has qualified for NCAA Tournament a total of four times, earning berths in 2003, 2017, 2022 and 2023. The team won the MAC regular season championship in 2017 and the MVC regular season championship in 2023.

MSU Soccer Park at Pittser Field is a soccer-specific stadium on the campus of Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. Built on the site of a former baseball field, MSU Soccer Park opened in 1998 as the home of the Montclair State Red Hawks men's and women's soccer teams.

The Lamar Lady Cardinals soccer team represents Lamar University in NCAA Division I college soccer. The team, currently led by head coach Nathan Kogut, competes in the Southland Conference. The team's initial season was 2007. The Lady Cardinals' home stadium is the Lamar Soccer Complex located on the university's campus. The team began playing home games there starting with the 2009 season. The Lady Cardinals home stadium for the first two seasons was Cardinal Stadium now named Provost Umphrey Stadium.
