Reenu Mathews is an Indian actress who has acted in Malayalam films. [1] She works as a cabin crew member [2] for Emirates (airline) in Dubai. [3] She made her debut in Immanuel (2013), opposite Mammootty, directed by Laljose. She has acted with Mohanlal in Ennum Eppozhum, directed by Sathyan Anthikad & with Prithviraj Sukumaran in Sapthamasree Thaskaraha. She has paired with Mammooty again in Praise the Lord.

Personal life

Reenu is the youngest daughter of Mathews and Santhamma at Kottayam. She has an elder brother Ginu. [4]

Career

Reenu Mathews was first cast for the Mammootty-Lal Jose film Pattalam (2003 film) as heroine. But few days before the shoot begun, she backed out of the project without even informing the team, as she got the job of Air Hostess in Emirates and she didn't want to lose the job at that time. Later she was cast as the heroine for the Mammooty starter 2013 Malayalam film Immanuel , which was also directed by Lal Jose himself and which marked her debut. Next she was seen in 5 Sundarikal directed by Amal Neerad. She again paired with Mammooty in a 2014 film Praise the Lord . [5] Her next release was Anil Radhakrishna Menon's Sapthamashree Thaskaraha . [6] and then Amal Neerad's Iyobinte Pustakam. Her latest release was Sathyan Anthikad's Ennum Eppozhum . She was last seen in Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi directed by Anil Radhakrishnamenon. She has been working as a cabin crew in Emirates airlines.

Ennum Eppozhum is a 2015 Indian Malayalam-language comedy-drama film directed by Sathyan Anthikad and written by Ranjan Pramod based on a story by Raveendran. It was produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the production company Aashirvad Cinemas. It stars Mohanlal and Manju Warrier, alongside a supporting cast including Innocent, Reenu Mathews, Jacob Gregory, Lena and Renji Panicker. It also marked the reunion of Mohanlal and Manju Warrier after 17 years. Ennum Eppozhum was released across India on 27 March 2015 and met with mixed reviews from critics. The film was a commercial success though at the box office. The song "Malarvaka Kombathu" won Kerala State Film Award for Best Singer for P. Jayachandran.
