Reginald Kenneth Thomas (born April 21, 1953) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played in the World Hockey Association (WHA) from 1973 to 1979, and in the National Hockey League from 1979 to 1980.
After a standout junior career with the London Knights, in which he scored 309 points in only three seasons, he was drafted by both the Los Angeles Sharks of the WHA and the Chicago Black Hawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Thomas played seven seasons in the WHA for the Sharks, Michigan Stags, Baltimore Blades, Indianapolis Racers, and Cincinnati Stingers. After the dissolution of the WHA he played 39 NHL games for the Quebec Nordiques in the NHL, and ultimately retired from hockey in 1985 after a spell in Austria for WAT Stadlau. After his career Thomas ran a farm and produce market just outside Lambeth, Ontario.
His son, Reg Thomas, Jr., played hockey as well, for the Sarnia Sting and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Thomas has another son named Dylan, who was drafted by the Belleville Bulls of the OHL and his youngest son, Blake Thomas also played for the Sarnia Sting.

Derian John Hatcher is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman who played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Minnesota North Stars, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, and Philadelphia Flyers. He is currently an owner of the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).
David A. Legwand is an American former professional ice hockey forward who played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was the first player ever drafted by the Nashville Predators, with whom he spent 12 full seasons and set several franchise records. Matt Pelech is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman/forward who last played for and captained the Belfast Giants of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). He formerly played with the Calgary Flames and the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Pelech was a draft pick of the Flames, selected in the first round, 26th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut in 2009 as a defenceman with the Flames. He has since switched to right wing and become known as an enforcer. His brothers, Michael Pelech and Adam Pelech, also play professionally.

The 2007–08 OHL season was the 28th season of the Ontario Hockey League. Twenty teams played 68 games each during the schedule, that started on September 19, 2007, and concluded on March 16, 2008. The Mississauga IceDogs relocated to the Gatorade Garden City Complex in downtown St. Catharines after getting approval of the team's sale to Bill Burke by the Board of Governors on June 5, 2007. The team was renamed the Niagara IceDogs. The Toronto St. Michael's Majors replaced the IceDogs in the Hershey Centre, renaming themselves, the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors. The Kingston Frontenacs moved late-season from the Kingston Memorial Centre to the new K-Rock Centre, which opened on February 22, 2008. On the afternoon of February 18, 2008, Windsor Spitfires team captain Mickey Renaud died after collapsing at his home, at age 19, of the rare heart condition hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The playoffs began March 20, with the Kitchener Rangers winning the J. Ross Robertson Cup as OHL champions. The Rangers were also chosen before the start of the season to host the 2008 Memorial Cup tournament.

He was selected first overall by the Edmonton Oilers at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, and also played with the St. Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche. Due to his draft position, short NHL career and low point totals, Yakupov is widely regarded as one of the biggest draft busts in NHL history.
