The Regatta class is a class of cruise ships that are owned by Oceania Cruises.
The Regatta-class ships were built in 1998–2000 for Renaissance Cruises as a part of their R class. [1] They have a gross tonnage of 30,277 and can accommodate a maximum of 824 passengers in 343 cabins. [2]
When Oceania Cruises was founded in 2002, [3] they took three of the R-class ships: R One which they rechristened MS Insignia, R Two which they rechristened MS Regatta, and R Five which they rechristened MS Nautica. Oceania referred to these collectively as the Regatta class.
Beginning in April 2012, Insignia began what was initially announced as a two-year lease to Hapag-Lloyd, who is currently operating the ship as MS Columbus 2. It returned to the fleet In 2014. In 2016, The former R Two was christened and entered service for Oceania as Sirena. [4] [5] [6]

Note: The R-Class was supposed to be ships for Princess Cruises and they would operate as expedition ships for Princess Expeditions.

The MS Renaissance is a cruise ship that re-entered service in June 2023. The ship was built in Italy in 1992 as Maasdam for Holland America Line. While sailing for Holland America, the vessel operated primarily in North American waters. In 2020 she was bought by Seajets and renamed Aegean Myth, but did not trade. The ship was bought in 2022 by a new French operator, Compagnie Française de Croisières.
MS Amera is a cruise ship operated by Phoenix Reisen. She was launched in 1988 as Royal Viking Sun for Royal Viking Line, and began operating for Cunard Line under the same name in 1994. She was renamed Seabourn Sun when Seabourn Cruise Line acquired the ship in 1999. In 2002, Seabourn transferred the ship to Holland America Line, which was renamed as Prinsendam. In 2018, Prinsendam was sold to Phoenix Reisen, debuting in 2019.
Sirena, formerly R Four, Tahitian Princess, and Ocean Princess is an R-class cruise ship formerly owned by Princess Cruises. When part of the Princess fleet, along with the Pacific Princess, Ocean Princess was one of the two smallest in the fleet. In March 2016, she was sold to Oceania Cruises and renamed Sirena.

She was built in 2000 by the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, for Renaissance Cruises as MS R Five. She sailed for Pullmantur Cruises between 2002 and 2004 before entering service with her current owners in 2005.
MS Insignia is the lead ship of the R class of cruise ships built for Renaissance Cruises. She is now owned by Oceania Cruises as part of its Regatta class of ships, but recently sailed for Hapag-Lloyd as the Columbus 2. Her name, Nieuw Statendam, alludes to the five previous ships in HAL's fleet named Statendam. She is the second of three Pinnacle-class ships built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri after Koningsdam (2016) and before Rotterdam (2021). Two years after the first steel was cut in July 2016 to commence construction, she was delivered to HAL in November 2018 and began operating the following month.
