Remarkably Bright Creatures is an upcoming American mystery drama film co-written and directed by Olivia Newman. It is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Shelby Van Pelt. It stars Sally Field, Lewis Pullman, Colm Meaney, Joan Chen, Kathy Baker, Beth Grant, Sofia Black-D'Elia, and Laura Harris.
In August 2024, it was announced that Netflix would be adapting the novel Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. Olivia Newman had been hired to direct and co-write the screenplay with John Whittington, and Sally Field cast in the lead role as Tova. [1] By May 2025, principal photography had wrapped in Vancouver, Canada, with Ashley Connor serving as the cinematographer, and Lewis Pullman, Colm Meaney, Joan Chen, Kathy Baker, Beth Grant, Sofia Black-D'Elia, and Laura Harris rounding out the rest of the cast.
