Residencial Manuel A. Perez is an apartment complex in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is named after Manuel A. Perez, an agricultural official, teacher and interim governor of Puerto Rico who was born in the city of Comerio. [1]

Like many other residenciales in Puerto Rico, the Residencial Manuel A. Perezhas had a drug-trafficking operations problem. On March 7, 2023, the international news agency, EFE, reported that an alleged leader of a Manuel A. Perez drug cartel was among five suspects arrested by Puerto Rican police. [2] Another person was arrested on September the same year. [3] Alex Trujillo, a now reformed former drug dealer who is a Christian preacher, used to deal drugs at this residencial during the late 1990s and early 2000s. [4] In 2023, the Residencial Manuel A. Perez was part of an operation by the FBI. [5] It was one of two residenciales targeted as part of that specific operation.

There has been occasional violence at the Residencial Manuel A. Perez as well; in August 2023, two men were murdered there and a 68 year old suspect was arrested. [6] Another man had been murdered there earlier, in 2022. [7]

In 2024, resident commissioner Jennifer Gonzalez visited to discuss, with residents, a problem with some money that had been assigned to the residencial for remodeling, the latter action which still had not begun. [8]

The original version of the show debuted on March 11, 1991, and was aired on weekday mornings. On October 14, 2014, the show was cancelled as part of a restructuring of Univision Puerto Rico's operations that included the closure of its news department. The free association movement in Puerto Rico refers to initiatives throughout the history of Puerto Rico aimed at changing the current political status of Puerto Rico to that of a sovereign freely associated state. The Justas de Atletismo y Festival Deportivo de Puerto Rico —better known as Las Justas Intercolegiales or simply as Las Justas — is an intercollegiate sports competition held annually in Puerto Rico where Puerto Rican colleges and universities compete against each other in different sports. Residencial Luis Lloréns Torres, also commonly known as Lloréns Torres, is a public housing complex in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is located a few minutes driving distance from both the tourist and hotels areas of the Condado and Isla Verde neighborhoods, and from Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. It is also minutes away from the neighboring city of Carolina. Named after Puerto Rican independence advocate Luis Lloréns Torres, the complex is the largest housing and apartments complex in Puerto Rico, with some 2,600 residents accounted during the 2000 census. Other sources, such as Univision, say there are as many as 30,000 residents in the residencial. These residents occupy 2,000 apartments.

Residencial Nemesio R. Canales is an apartment complex in San Juan, Puerto Rico. One of the largest residenciales in Puerto Rico with 1,500 apartments, the complex is adjacent to the Caribbean's largest mall and second largest in Latin America, Plaza Las Americas. It is also steps away from both Roberto Clemente Coliseum and the Hiram Bithorn Stadium. The place is named after Nemesio Canales, a well known Puerto Rican essayist, writer, journalist and politician.

Dommys Lourdes Delgado Berty is a Puerto Rican sports administrator. She was the president of the Puerto Rican Boxing Commission, becoming, in 1995, the first woman in history to be president of a national boxing commission, a fact that was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. Delgado Berty kept working in the sport of professional boxing until 2017.
