Humacao is a city and municipality in Puerto Rico located in the eastern coast of the island, north of Yabucoa; south of Naguabo; east of Las Piedras; and west of Vieques Passage. Humacao is spread over 12 barrios and Humacao Pueblo. It is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Jorge Adolfo de Castro-Font is a former Puerto Rican senator and former member of the House of Representatives. Originally, he was a member of the Popular Democratic Party (PPD) but became an independent representative in 2001 after inner disputes with his party. The Hotel Ponce Intercontinental is an abandoned hotel with a still existing structure at Cerro del Vigía in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The structure is considered a historic landmark and a national icon in the city of Ponce and Puerto Rico. The property is currently owned by Misla Hospitality Group, a family of local Ponce investors who bought it from CBC Development. Its architecture is classical modern. When it opened, in 1960, it became the first modern hotel in the city.
En La Mañana is a Puerto Rican breakfast television show that airs on TeleOnce. The show is a revival of the original breakfast show called Tu Mañana that aired on TeleOnce from 1991 to 2002 and in Univision Puerto Rico television network from 2002 to 2014. The original version of the show debuted on March 11, 1991, and was aired on weekday mornings. On October 14, 2014, the show was cancelled as part of a restructuring of Univision Puerto Rico's operations that included the closure of its news department. With the sale of WLII-DT from Univision to Liberman Media Group the new owners have announced they intend to revive Tu Mañana in 2023. The show's revival was officially announced on October 17, 2023, with a premiere date set for October 30, 2023. For the revival, the show's name was slightly tweaked from Your Morning to In The Morning
The free association movement in Puerto Rico refers to initiatives throughout the history of Puerto Rico aimed at changing the current political status of Puerto Rico to that of a sovereign freely associated state. Locally, the term soberanista refers to someone that seeks to redefine the relationship between Puerto Rico and the United States to that of a compact with full sovereignty. The term is mostly used in reference to those that support a compact of free association or a variation of this formula, commonly known as Estado Libre Asociado (ELA) Soberano, between Puerto Rico and the United States. Members of the independence movement that are willing to pursue alliances with this ideology are occasionally referred to as such, but are mostly known as independentistas. Consequently, soberanismo then became the local name for the free association movement.
The Justas de Atletismo y Festival Deportivo de Puerto Rico —better known as Las Justas Intercolegiales or simply as Las Justas — is an intercollegiate sports competition held annually in Puerto Rico where Puerto Rican colleges and universities compete against each other in different sports. The event is sponsored by the Liga Atlética Interuniversitaria de Puerto Rico (LAI). The event usually include competitions in softball, basketball, beach volleyball, judo, table tennis, swimming, cheerleading, women's football, and athletics.
Marcelo Trujillo Panisse was a Puerto Rican politician, who was elected to four terms as mayor of Humacao, Puerto Rico. Trujillo was affiliated with the Popular Democratic Party (PPD) and served as mayor from 2001 to 2019. He earned a bachelor's degree in political and social sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War era.
The Organizacion de Narcotraficantes Unidos, is a Puerto Rican criminal organization based in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. It is an organization dedicated to drug dealing and unifying various well-known dealers under one umbrella group. Established in 1995, by 2009, when 37 members of the organization were arrested, it had become the most powerful drug trafficking organizations in Puerto Rico. US$100 million was forfeited during the siege by the Bayamón Task Force and other authorities. It began with the purposes of unifying criminal elements but often ended in turf wars and revenge killings.

Residencial Luis Lloréns Torres, also commonly known as Lloréns Torres, is a public housing complex in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is located a few minutes driving distance from both the tourist and hotels areas of the Condado and Isla Verde neighborhoods, and from Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. It is also minutes away from the neighboring city of Carolina. Named after Puerto Rican independence advocate Luis Lloréns Torres, the complex is the largest housing and apartments complex in Puerto Rico, with some 2,600 residents accounted during the 2000 census. Other sources, such as Univision, say there are as many as 30,000 residents in the residencial. These residents occupy 2,000 apartments.
Residencial Nemesio R. Canales is an apartment complex in San Juan, Puerto Rico. One of the largest residenciales in Puerto Rico with 1,500 apartments, the complex is adjacent to the Caribbean's largest mall and second largest in Latin America, Plaza Las Americas. It is also steps away from both Roberto Clemente Coliseum and the Hiram Bithorn Stadium. The place is named after Nemesio Canales, a well known Puerto Rican essayist, writer, journalist and politician.
Dommys Lourdes Delgado Berty is a Puerto Rican sports administrator. She was the president of the Puerto Rican Boxing Commission, becoming, in 1995, the first woman in history to be president of a national boxing commission, a fact that was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. Delgado Berty kept working in the sport of professional boxing until 2017.
