Re:think was an imprint label of under Universal Music Group. [1] It signed several acts, including This World Fair, The Colour, [2] Sarah Masen and Switchfoot. [3] Re:think is well known for supporting the ONE Campaign as well as the lowercase people Justice Fund. [4]

This World Fair was an American rock act based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The line-up included the singer-songwriter Chris Kalgren, along with a touring band consisting of Alexander Young (drums) and Matt Lennander (guitar). This World Fair internationally released their first full-length album, self-titled This World Fair, on December 16, 2008. This World Fair performed hundreds of shows per year and toured extensively across the United States.

Re:Think was founded in 1996 by music industry veteran Charlie Peacock, with the intention of marketing artists outside of the usual CCM box. "I never really wanted to be associated with it as a genre," he says. [5]

Contemporary Christian music is a genre of modern popular music which is lyrically focused on matters concerned with the Christian faith. It formed as those affected by the 1960s Jesus movement revival began to express themselves in a more contemporary style of music than the hymns, Gospel and Southern gospel music that was prevalent in the church at the time. Today, the term is typically used to refer to pop, rock, or praise & worship styles.

With this vision in place, Peacock signed on and developed acts like Sarah Masen and Switchfoot. However, just before the release of Switchfoot's first record, The Legend of Chin , Re:Think was bought out by CCM industry magnate, Sparrow Records, thus halting Peacock's vision for the time being. Subsequently, the artists signed to Re:Think were marketed primarily to the Christian music scene. "When Sparrow bought re:think Records, it was evident that our music wasn't going to be in the hands of everybody," says Jon Foreman, frontman of the band Switchfoot. "As a Christian, I have a lot to say within the walls of the church. But also, as a Christian, I've got a lot to say just about life in general." [6]

Sarah Masen is an American singer-songwriter originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. For several years she has lived in Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband, the author David Dark, and their three children. Initially signed to Charlie Peacock's re:think label, and subsequently to Word Records, she is now independent. As a songwriter, she has collaborated with Béla Fleck, Julie Lee and Sam Ashworth.

Switchfoot is an American alternative rock band from San Diego, California. The band's members are Jon Foreman, Tim Foreman, Chad Butler, Jerome Fontamillas, and Drew Shirley . After early successes in the Christian rock scene, Switchfoot first gained mainstream recognition with the inclusion of four of their songs in the 2002 movie A Walk to Remember. This recognition led to their major label debut, The Beautiful Letdown, which was released in 2003 and featured the hits "Meant to Live" and "Dare You to Move". The album sold over 2.6 million copies. They have since been noted for their energetic live shows, and their seventh studio album Hello Hurricane received a Grammy award in 2011 for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album.
