Reuben Kamuri Ngatia is a Kenyan politician and biotechnologist,who is currently serving as the third deputy governor of Laikipia County. He was elected as the running mate of Joshua Irungu during the 2022 Kenyan general election. [1] He holds a bachelor's degree in science from the Technical University of Kenya and a second degree from Kenyatta University in Biotechnology. [2]

Isiolo County is a county in the former Eastern Province of Kenya. Its population is 268,002 and its capital and largest city is Isiolo. Isiolo County is to be the first county to be developed as part of the Kenya Vision 2030 program. Other upcoming urban centres are:Garbatulla,Modogashe,Kinna,Merti and Oldonyiro.The county is home to Sakuye and Borana tribes but also has a significant number of people from Turkana,Samburu,Gabra,Garre and Meru communities.
Nyandarua County is a county in the former Central Province of Kenya,with its capital and largest town being Ol Kalou. Formerly the capital was Nyahururu,which is now part of Laikipia County. Nyandarua County had a population of 596,268 by 2009 and 638,289 by 2019 and an area of 3,304 km2. The county is located on the northwestern part of the old Central Province,and contains the Aberdare Ranges.

Godfrey Gitahi Kariuki,known as GG Kariuki was a Kenyan politician who entered elective politics at independence in 1963. During Kenya's 11th Parliament,he served as Senator representing Laikipia County and one of the only politicians to serve the four presidents of Kenya,from 2013 until his death on 30 Jun 2017. Previously he had served several terms as Member of Parliament for Laikipia West Constituency,and he was Minister in both the governments of Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel arap Moi.
The Counties of Kenya are geographical units created by the 2010 Constitution of Kenya as the new units of devolved government. They replaced the previous provincial system. The establishment and executive powers of the counties is provided in Chapter Eleven of the Constitution on devolved government,the Constitution's Fourth Schedule and any other legislation passed by the Senate of Kenya concerning counties. The counties are also single-member constituencies which elect members of the Senate,and special woman members to the National Assembly.
Local elections were held in Laikipia County on 4 March 2013. Under the new constitution,which was passed in a 2010 referendum,the 2013 general election was to be the first where there would be election of county governors and their deputies for the 47 newly created counties. They were also the first general elections run by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) which released the official list of candidates.
Martin Nyaga Wambora is a Kenyan politician. He is the first governor of Embu County in Kenya after winning on a TNA ticket in the Embu gubernatorial elections which was conducted in March 2013. John Mwaniki is a politician and project management consultant,who served as the second Deputy Governor of Laikipia County,from 2017 to 2022,during the tenure of Ndiritu Muriithi. Prior to that he was the County secretary of the County Government of Laikipia from 2015 to 2016,during the first term of Governor Joshua Irungu,leaving the post after a protracted dispute with the then governor. While Deputy Governor he served as the chairperson of the Kenyan Deputy Governor's forum,being elected by his fellow deputy governors to the position in 2018
