Bjørnør is a former municipality in the old Sør-Trøndelag county in Norway. The 865-square-kilometre (334 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until 1892 in what was at that time the United Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway. It encompassed the area of what is now the municipalities of Roan and Osen, plus the Stoksund area in the present day municipality of Åfjord, all in the western part of the Fosen peninsula in Trøndelag county. Straumsetervatnet or Selavatnet is a lake on the border of the municipalities of Åfjord and Verran in Trøndelag county, Norway. The majority of the 4.72-square-kilometre (1.82 sq mi) lake lies in Verran, with the northwestern end of the lake partially lying in Åfjord. The village of Sela lies on the northern side of the lake and the village of Sandsetra at the southeastern end of the lake. The lake is one of the sources for the Folla river system which flows into the Trondheimsfjord at the village of Follafoss.

Stoksund Church is a parish church in Ørland municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Revsnes in the Stoksund area of Åfjord. The church is located right at the south end of the Stokkøy Bridge from the mainland to the island of Stokkøya. It is one of two churches in the Åfjord og Stoksund parish which is part of the Fosen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The red, wooden church was built in a cruciform style in 1825 by the architects Ekr. Collet, O.G. Ebbe, and John Overdahl. The church seats about 200 people. It was consecrated on 10 July 1825 by Bishop Peder Olivarius Bugge.

It is one of two churches in the Åfjord og Stoksund parish which is part of the Fosen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1879 by the architect K. Guttormsen. The church seats 430 people. It was consecrated on 9 October 1879 by Bishop Andreas Grimelund.
Sela is a village located in the municipality of Verran in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the rural mountain area in the west-central part of Verran, very close to the municipal with Åfjord. The village sits along the shore of the lake Selavatnet, about 22 kilometres (14 mi) northwest of the village of Follafoss and about 29 kilometres (18 mi) west of the municipal center of Malm. The village is the location of Sela Church.
