Riccardo Genovese (born 13 April 2002) is an Italian professional rugby union player who primarily plays prop for Benetton Rugby of the United Rugby Championship. [1]

Professional career

He previously played for clubs such as CUS Torino. Genovese signed for Zebre Parma in May 2022 ahead of the 2022–23 United Rugby Championship as Academy Player. [2] [3] He made his debut in Round 8 of the 2022–23 season against the Ulster. [4] He played with Zebre Parma until 2023–24 season. [5] [6]

Genovese signed for Benetton Rugby in April 2024 ahead of the 2024–25 United Rugby Championship. He made his debut in Round 1 of United Rugby Championship in the 2024–25 season against the Scarlets. [7]

In 2021 and 2022 Genovese was named in Italy U20s squad for annual Six Nations Under 20s Championship. [8] [9] On 30 November 2023 he was called in Italy Under 23 squad for test series against IRFU Combined Academies. [10]
