Richard Abelardo Abellon (died October 15, 2008) was a Filipino Episcopalian bishop. He was a bishop in The Episcopal Church and the first Prime Bishop of the autonomous Episcopal Church in the Philippines, from 1990 to 1993. He also served as Presiding Bishop of the Philippines under The Episcopal Church in the United States from 1982 to 1986. [1] [2]

The Philippine Independent Church, officially referred to by its Philippine Spanish name Iglesia Filipina Independiente (IFI) and colloquially called the Aglipayan Church, is an independent Christian denomination, in the form of a nationalist church, in the Philippines. Michael Bruce Curry is an American bishop who is the 27th and current Presiding Bishop and primate of the Episcopal Church. Elected in 2015, he is the first African American elected to the role, having previously served as Bishop of North Carolina from 2000 to 2015. His tenure as Presiding Bishop will end in October 2024 and he will be succeeded by Sean Rowe.
The Episcopal Church in the Philippines is a province of the Anglican Communion comprising the country of the Philippines. It was established by the Episcopal Church of the United States in 1901 by American missionaries led by Charles Henry Brent, who served as the first resident bishop, when the Philippines was opened to Protestant American missionaries. It became an autonomous province of the Anglican Communion on May 1, 1990.
Charles Henry Brent was the Episcopal Church's first Missionary Bishop of the Philippine Islands (1902–1918); Chaplain General of the American Expeditionary Forces in World War I (1917–1918); and Bishop of the Episcopal Church's Diocese of Western New York (1918–1929). The historian and Episcopal minister Frederick Ward Kates characterised him as a "gallant, daring, and consecrated soldier and servant of Christ" who was "one of modern Christendom's foremost leaders, prophets, and seers."
The Archdiocese of Zamboanga is a Catholic archdiocese in the Philippines. Its present jurisdiction includes Zamboanga City, with suffragans in Basilan, Zamboanga Sibugay, and the Apostolic Vicariate of Jolo. It became Mindanao's first diocese in 1910, and was established as the second archdiocese of Mindanao in 1958. Today, the archdiocese covers a land area of 1,648 square kilometers and has a population of 442,345, of which 81 percent are Catholics. The archdiocese includes 28 parishes and one quasi-parish, served by 57 diocesan and 18 religious priests. There are also 51 religious sisters working in the archdiocese.

He was the 32nd Archbishop of Manila from 2011 to 2020. Tagle is the Cardinal-Bishop of San Felice da Cantalice a Centocelle and also serves as the President of the Catholic Biblical Federation, Grand Chancellor of the Pontifical Urbaniana University, and as a member of various departments and dicasteries in the Roman Curia.
Manuel José Macário do Nascimento Clemente, GCC, officially Manuel III, is a Portuguese prelate of the Catholic Church. He was the Metropolitan Patriarch of Lisbon from 2013 to 2023 and a cardinal since 14 February 2015. He has been a bishop since 1999 and was Bishop of Porto from 2007 to 2013.

Narciso Valentin Ticobay was a Filipino Episcopalian bishop. He was the second Prime Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines from 1993 to 1997. He also served as the second Diocesan Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Philippines (EDSP) from 1986 to 1993. He died in 2013 at the age of 81.
Edward Pacyaya Malecdan was a Filipino Episcopalian bishop who served as the Prime Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines from 2009 to 2014.
Edward Gaudan Longid was a Filipino Anglican bishop of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines. He was consecrated as a suffragan bishop on February 2, 1963, in the Cathedral of St. Mary and St. John in Quezon City. He was the first diocesan bishop of the Northern Philippines, serving from 1972 to 1975. He had seven children, one of whom, Robert Longid, was later a bishop of the same diocese.
Nestor Dagas Poltic Sr. is a Filipino Episcopalian bishop. Since 2018, he has been the bishop of the Diocese of the North Central Philippines in the Episcopal Church in the Philippines, and in 2025, he is set to succeed Brent Alawas as prime bishop of the church.
