The Washington State Department of Corrections (WADOC) is a department of the government of the state of Washington. WADOC is responsible for administering adult corrections programs operated by the State of Washington. This includes state correctional institutions and programs for people supervised in the community. Its headquarters are in Tumwater,Washington.
Louie Lee Wainwright was an American corrections administrator who served as Secretary of the Florida Department of Corrections from 1962 to 1987. He is known for having been the named respondent in two U.S. Supreme Court cases:Gideon v. Wainwright in which indigents are guaranteed an attorney,and Ford v. Wainwright,in which the Court approved the common law rule prohibiting the execution of the insane. Time Magazine called the Gideon decision one of the ten most important legal events of the 1960s. He also appeared as the respondent in a number of habeas corpus petitions that reached the Supreme Court level during his tenure in office,making "Wainwright" one of the most familiar names to students of habeas corpus law.

In 2006,he was indicted for seducing a 14-year-old girl,who was actually a sheriff's deputy working undercover,on the internet. He was arrested on April 4,2006,at his home in Silver Spring,Maryland. Five months later,he pled no contest. On November 17,2006,he was sentenced to five years in prison,with ten years of probation,and he was registered as a sex offender. Doyle was incarcerated at Wakulla Correctional Institution Annex outside of Tallahassee,Florida. He was released from prison on January 15,2011.
