The Richmond Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers or colloquially the Tig(e)s, is a professional Australian rules football team competing in the Australian Football League (AFL). Founded in 1885 in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond, the club competed in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) from 1885 to 1907, winning two premierships. Richmond then joined the Victorian Football League from the 1908 season and has since won 13 premierships, most recently in 2020.

Liam Baker is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played junior representative football with West Perth in the WAFL and represented Western Australia at national championships at under 18 level. After being undrafted in 2016, Baker then played senior WAFL football with Subiaco. Baker was drafted by the Richmond tigers in the 2018 rookie draft and made his AFL debut in round 19, 2018. He was an AFL premiership player with Richmond in 2019 and 2020, and in 2020 was named to the AFL's 22Under22 team, recognising the best young players in the league. In 2022, Baker was presented the AFLPA most Courageous in the AFL award. The captain of the Richmond Football Club, Dylan Grimes, presented the award to Baker, with Patrick Dangerfield announcing the achievement.

He previously played 43 games over three seasons at Richmond. As a junior, Higgins was named All-Australian at the 2017 AFL Under-18 Championships and won the Morrish Medal as the best player in the Victorian junior state league, the TAC Cup. He was drafted by Richmond with the last pick of the first round in the 2017 AFL national draft and made his debut for the club in Round 3 of the 2018 season. He was drafted by Richmond with the 34th pick in the 2017 AFL national draft and made his debut for the club in round 12 of the 2019 season. He is the son of former Richmond and Port Adelaide forward Chris Naish and was drafted to Richmond under the father–son rule. Naish was delisted by Richmond at the end of the 2021 season after failing to break into playing group. He was signed by West Coast as a Supplementary Selection Period (SSP) during the 2022 AFL pre-season.

After growing up in Naracoorte, South Australia, he moved to Adelaide to attend Prince Alfred College and played in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) with the Sturt Football Club, in which he played in the 2009 SANFL Grand Final.
