Richard T. Lund of the United Kingdom served as the Secretary and was later appointed Deputy Director of the Boy Scouts International Bureau,and later succeeded Daniel Spry as the last Director of the World Scout Bureau. [1] In 1968,the function of Director of the World Scout Bureau became Secretary General.
In 1953,Lund was awarded the 9th Bronze Wolf ,the only distinction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement,awarded by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting,at the 14th World Scout Conference. [2]
Some of his memoirs are kept at the Scout Museum in Manchester,New Hampshire.
The World Organization of the Scout Movement is the largest international Scouting organization. WOSM has 173 members. These members are recognized national Scout organizations,which collectively have around 43 million participants. WOSM was established in 1922,and has its operational headquarters at Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia and its legal seat in Geneva,Switzerland. It is the counterpart of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
Colonel John Skinner "Belge" Wilson (1888–1969) was a Scottish scouting luminary and friend and contemporary of General Baden-Powell,recruited by him to head the International Bureau,later to become the World Bureau of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. Wilson was acting director from 1938 to 1939 following the death of Hubert S. Martin;he was elected in 1939 and remained in office until 1951. He then became Honorary President of WOSM for four years.
Ali Abdulkarim al-Dandachi was a Syrian who served as the vice president of the Boy Scouts de Syrie. Dandachi also served on the International Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1951 to 1957. Dandachi had done a great deal to encourage Scouting throughout the Middle East,and during his term as a member of the International Committee,he visited practically every country in the region,leading to the establishment of an Arab Scout Bureau.
Hubert Stanley Martin was a British diplomat,an early Boy Scout leader,The Boy Scouts Association of the United Kingdom International Commissioner and the Boy Scouts International Bureau's first director,from 1920 until his death in 1938.
Salvador Fernández Beltrán D.J.C. was among the first in the Americas to receive Wood Badge training,at Gilwell Park,England. He was the first to receive honorary appointment as Deputy Camp Chief of Gilwell. With this influence,the Scouts of Cuba began to use short trousers like those worn by the English.
Colonel Granville Walton,OBE,CMG (1888-1974) served as The Boy Scouts Association Headquarters Commissioner for Overseas Scouts and,later,was Assistant Chief Scout to the Association's Chief Scout,Robert Baden-Powell,1st Baron Baden-Powell.
Mohamed Ali Hafiz of the Federation for Scouts and Girl Guides served on the World Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1957 to 1963 and again from 1965 to 1971.
Leonard F. Jarrett served as Director of Administration of the World Scout Bureau in London,England,in Ottawa,Canada,and in Geneva,Switzerland from 1955 to 1981,and as a consultant for the World Scout Bureau from 1981 to 1986. Jarrett,a Canadian citizen,was the World Organizer of Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) for 30 years,from 1958 to 1988.
Major General Daniel Charles Spry CBE DSO CD was a senior Canadian Army officer who commanded the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division during Operation Veritable in World War II.
Ove Holm served as Organizing Secretary and Administrator of the 2nd World Scout Jamboree,held from August 9 to 17,1924 at Ermelunden,Denmark,and Chief Scout of Det Danske Spejderkorps from 1924 to 1960. He graduated from w:da:Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium in 1912 and was awarded the Bronze Wolf,the only distinction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement,awarded by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting,in 1949.
Jens Hvass served as the Camp Chief of the 2nd World Scout Jamboree,held from August 9 to 17,1924 at Ermelunden,Denmark,and was later a state forester and Divisional Scout Commissioner in Rold Skov,North Jutland,where a jamboree-square can still be found near the Great Økssø.
Demetrios Alexatos Scout name "Rann",meaning "Brahminy kite" from The Jungle Book,served as the National Commissioner of the Scouts of Greece for 17 years,from 1948 to 1965,on the personal recommendation of king Paul of Greece,Camp Chief of the 11th World Scout Jamboree held 1–11 August 1963 in Marathon,as well as an elected member of the World Scout Committee from 1957 to 1963.

Thomas Gladstone "Glad" Bincham was the International Conference of the Boy Scout Movement's Chief International Scout Commissioner from 1944 to 1956,as well as The Boy Scouts Association of the United Kingdom International Commissioner,and played a major role in the resumption of Scouting in Europe after World War II. He was an industrialist in the stationery industry.

Marc Lombard from Thun,Switzerland served as the Director of the Kandersteg International Scout Centre and the Chairman of the Kandersteg International Scout Centre Foundation.
Percival Alfred Siebold was a British scouting administrator who served as the Executive Commissioner for Operations of the World Scout Bureau.
Guillermo R. Padolina served as the National Scout Director of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines from 1954 to 1956,as well as the Regional Executive Commissioner of the Far East Scout Region of the World Scout Bureau.
Evert Jan Hendrikus Volkmaars served as the Chief Commissioner of De Nederlandse Padvinders (NPV),as well as a member of the World Scout Committee.
Mateo Jover served as the Director of Research of the Interamerican Scout Office,Director of Development Education of the European Scout Office,and Director of Programme as well as Director of Prospective Studies and Documentation of the World Scout Bureau.
