Ricky McCormick (born March 14, 1952) [1] is an American water skier. He won 11 world titles, 37 national championships. He was awarded two gold medals for Water skiing at the 1972 Summer Olympics, though as it was a demonstration sport that year they are not included in the medal table. [2] He came from a family of water skiers so started at age five. In 1982 he retired and in 1988 he was inducted into the Water Skiing Hall of Fame. [3]
Debra Rae "Debbie" Armstrong is a former World Cup alpine ski racer from Seattle, Washington. She was the first gold medalist from the U.S. in women's alpine skiing in 12 years, winning the giant slalom at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia.
Corey Engen was the captain of the U.S. Nordic ski team at the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz, Switzerland. He was the youngest of the three Engen brothers that pioneered and popularized alpine skiing in the intermountain west, primarily in Utah and Idaho.

Marina Ricolfi-Doria is a Swiss former water skier. She competed three times at the Water Ski World Championships winning gold medals in 1955 and in 1957. She won the overall title in the European Water Ski Championships consecutively from 1953 to 1956 and won five Swiss national titles. She was inducted into the International Water Ski Federation Hall of Fame in 1991.
Andrea Mead Lawrence was an American alpine ski racer and environmentalist. She competed in three Winter Olympics and one additional World Championship, and was the first American alpine skier to win two Olympic gold medals.
Tamara McKinney is a former World Cup alpine ski racer from the United States. She won four World Cup season titles, most notably the 1983 overall, the first American woman title holder for a quarter century. McKinney's other three season titles were in giant slalom and slalom (1984). She was a world champion in the combined event in 1989, her final year of competition.
Patricia Joan Keller McCormick was an American competitive diver who won both diving events at two consecutive Summer Olympics, in 1952 and 1956. She won the James E. Sullivan Award for best amateur athlete in the US in 1956 – the second woman to do so, after Ann Curtis.

Brian McKeever is a Canadian cross-country skier and biathlete, who became Canada's most decorated Winter Paralympian when he won his 14th medal at the 2018 Winter Paralympics. He finished the 2018 Games with a career total of 13 gold medals and 17 medals, making him the most decorated Paralympic cross-country skier ever. McKeever claimed a 16th Paralympic gold medal in the men's para cross-country middle distance vision impaired race at Beijing 2022, drawing him level with the German para-alpine racer Gerd Schönfelder for the most men's Winter Paralympic wins.

Wayne Grimditch is an American water skier. He competed for the United States in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Germany, winning two silver medals in the water skiing. Grimditch would go on to establish 10 U.S. national jumping records and four world marks in the sport. He earned 16 national titles and was the first skier to earn jumping records in the Junior Boy's, Boy's and Men's divisions simultaneously. Grimditch was known as a child prodigy qualifying for his first national tournament in slalom at just nine years old and winning the world jumping title in Copenhagen, Denmark at age 14. Due to a concussion, he began wearing a helmet which became common to the sport—though not a requirement—thereafter.
The Water Ski Hall of Fame and Museum is the hall of fame, museum, and archive of the sport of water skiing. Founded in 1980 and currently located in Davenport, Florida, the organization is administered by the USA Water Ski Foundation.
Roby Luigi Zucchi was an Italian water-skier noted for slalom. He won a gold medal at the 1972 Olympics, where water skiing was an exhibition event. Later he won the slalom at the 1975 world championships. In 1995 he was inducted into the Water Skiing Hall of Fame.
Robert Prime Beattie was an American skiing coach, skiing promoter and commentator for ABC Sports and ESPN. He was head coach of the U.S. Ski Team from 1961 to 1969 and co-founded the Alpine Skiing World Cup in 1966. His work as a ski-racing commentator for ABC included four Winter Olympic Games, from 1976 through 1988.
Greg Athans was a Canadian freestyle skier competing from 1976 to 1986 winning titles in multiple disciplines. Athans was also Canadian national waterskiing champion on fifteen occasions. He competed in the Canada Games, winning gold medals in the alpine slalom in 1971, and water skiing in 1973, becoming the first athlete to win gold medals at both the summer and winter games. In 1981, he was the best all-round competitor at the 1980 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup, winning the World Cup Grand Prix Award. He retired in 1982.
Carol Ann MacDonald née Duthie was a Canadian water skier. She won multiple medals in water skiing including a bronze medal at the 1951 Water Ski World Championships. Duthie was posthumously inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.
Judy McClintock-Messer is a Canadian former water skier. She won the Masters Water Ski Tournament in 1981 and the Water Ski World Championships in 1985 and 1995.
Joel McClintock is a Canadian former water skier. During his career, McClintock and his sister Judy became the first pair of siblings to both win world titles.
Donald Kreg Llewellyn was a Canadian water skier. Llewellyn won a silver medal in each of Pan American Games Champion when he won gold in men's water skiing events at the games in slalom at the 1995 Pan American Games as well as in 1999. He was inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in 2019. Llewellyn was an innovator, having helped invent the skurfer a precursor to the wakeboard. Llewellyn held 24 Canadian records and won 7 individual World Championship medals. His brother Jaret Llewellyn is also a professional water skier with Pan American Games titles and his nephew Dorien Llewellyn is also a professional water skier.
