The Victorian Football League (VFL) is the major state-level Australian rules football league in Victoria and, starting from 2021, New South Wales and Queensland. The league evolved from the former Victorian Football Association (VFA), and has been known by its current name since 1996. For historical purposes, the present VFL is sometimes referred to as the VFA/VFL, to distinguish it from the present day Australian Football League, which was known until 1990 as the Victorian Football League and is sometimes referred to as the VFL/AFL.

He was senior coach of Richmond from 1979 to 1981, which included winning the 1980 premiership, but was sacked to make way for Francis Bourke. He later returned to coach the club from 1986 to 1987. He was also senior coach of St Kilda in 1983 and 1984.
Allan Edward Geddes was an Australian rules football player who played between 1922 and 1924 in the VFA for the Williamstown Football Club, and in the VFL between 1925 and 1935 for the Richmond Football Club.

McGhie was appointed coach of the Sunshine Football Club in the VFA for the 1990 season, but the club was unable to convince the VFA to restore its licence to compete so he never coached the club in a game.
Donald James Benjamin Fraser was an Australian rules footballer who was a noted goalkicker for the Oakleigh Football Club in the Victorian Football Association in the 1920s and 1930s. He also played in the VFL for two seasons the Richmond Football Club.
